Biography[]
During a sleepover at the Clubhouse, James and Max wanted to make some "perfect toast" for their breakfast to be "perfect" so they can have some toast for some eggs and tater tots. However, their toaster ends up burning their toast after finishing singing the song "Toast It!".
This leads to the duo wondering why they haven't made a smart toaster. Together, Max decides to destroy their smart fridge to use the AI chip and used it for their toaster, which caused it to become sentient. This is when James decided to make the newly created smart toaster "Toasty", which Max goes along with. They tried to have Toasty make the toast, only for it to burn it, which causes Max to become very disappointed.
After many tries of Toasty's attempts of cooking toast failed, this causes James and Max to get into constant arguments. After they were trying to have Toasty cook toast on a boat, James and Max get into another argument, which causes Toasty to fall into a lake and electrocutes all the fish in the lake, along with diver being killed by the electricity. Max reels Toasty out of the lake and gets into another heated argument with James, which causes toaster to get very angry and plugging themselves into the water, electrocuting both James and Max, while smiling evilly.
As Max and James go back to the Clubhouse, where Sagu is having trouble balancing), Toasty is shown throwing a tantrum as both Max and James were recovering from the electrocution back at the lake before. Max says that not only that their arguments negatively affected Toasty's behavior, but blames it all on James for causing it to happen in the first place. This causes yet another argument towards the two. However this was stopped as the duo realized that Toasty escaped and is causing havoc in the town. This leads to Max and James to go after Toasty to go and stop them. However, the duo had different goals as they race to catch Toasty. James then distracts Max with an Ice cream truck which leads Max to rush over to grab some ice cream cones in both of his hands.
After Max and James got Toasty cornered, it them decides to send burnt toast at the two, with one of the last of the toast puncturing Max in the stomach. James was horrified about this, only for Max to reveal that he was bleeding green slime, which makes James feel more relieved and give Max a hug, causing the alligator to let out tears. Max apologizes for letting parenting get out of the way of making perfect breakfast without each other. The two reconcile and et up to face Toasty again. However, the evil toaster finds a way to escape as it runs towards the Fün der Bread Factory, in which James realizes that it could give Toasty enough ammo to cause destruction to the entire town. However, Max was too exhausted and wounded to go along, which leaves James no choice but to go encounter Toasty himself, but not after his alligator friend tries to eat the toast in his stomach due to getting hungry.
As Toast makes it to the Fün der Bread Factory, James goes to stop Toasty and apologize to it, only for Toasty to be ready to fire some burnt toast at him. James then slowly walks to toasty while singing "My Toasty, which is a reprise of "Toast It!". However, as Toasty crawls into his main creator's arms, it was in an attempt to electrocute James, only to be revealed that James actually got Toasty into his arms to emotionally pull out the AI chip from Toasty, seemingly having it be shut down. Afterwards, the toaster finally made the toast perfectly and becomes emotional about it.
Later, James and Max are hanging out with each other back at the Clubhouse with some burnt toast and tea, as James decides to throw away the AI chip into the trash. James admits that he now knows why no one has ever made a smart toaster as he and his alligator friend eat their burnt toast. However, while the two were eating, the AI Chip sinks back into the trash and enters back into Toasty. The duo were also unaware to notice Toasty's plug slip into the trash can on its own. Toasty then wakes up and laughs sinisterly, which implies that it may return again in a future episode. Which is the case in "Nugget Nonsense" Toasty was brought up by James and Max to Echo which made her realize that Toasty is the reason the world in her time is and they need to stop him in the present. James bushed off the whole thing off even still believing that Toasty is dead Echo told James that at some point that Toasty toasts his maker meaning Toasty killed James in the future. At the end of the episode it went to the Fün der Bread Factory with a bunch of bread being made with Toasty preparing for a war.

Trivia[]
- Toasty is mostly referred to as being male, despite being an inanimate toaster.
- The scene where Toasty punctures Max through the torso is known to be an unexpectedly gruesome moment in the otherwise kid-friendly Oddballs series, mainly for the large amount of faux blood used in it.
