Toby Weeks is the main antagonist of the episode Conventions of Space and Time in the sitcom Community.
He was portrayed by Matt Lucas, who also played Otto Hill in The Harry Hill Movie, Mr. Blut in Polar, Charlie in the UK version of The Queen's Corgi, Mr. Collick in Missing Link, Aleister Crowley in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Gerald Prodnose in Wonka and Chancellor Donold David Dongalor in Kröd Mändoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire.
History[]
Toby was an English banker who worked in Nigeria. He was a big Inspector Spacetime fan. He befriended Abed online. He and Abed wanted to meet each other at Inspectacon, the Inspector Spacetime conventions. Toby required Abed to wire him money to fly from Nigeria to the convention.
Toby pretended to have a friend that couldn't make it, in order to seem more normal, but in fact didn't have one. He and Abed travelled the convention together, leaving Troy behind. Troy became apranoid that Toby was relacing him, and had an outburst in the middle of the convention.
.Toby tried to convince Abed to leave Troy. Abed refused. When Abed realized Toby had lied about his friend, Toby locked him in a model of the "X-7 Dimensionizer". He told Abed he would release him when Stockholm Syndrome would kick in. Troy found them and demanded to know where Abed was. Toby tried to lie, but Abed's voice could easily be heard inside the box. Troy threatened to punch Toby, and Toby fled, telling Troy where Abed was, even though it was obvious.
