Todd Johnsonis the major antagonist of The Mentalist TV-show. He is a police officer and a serial cop killer, whose death is investigated by Patrick Jane and his friends in police. He was played by Josh Braaten.
Biography[]
Nothing is known about his past. It is only known that his father was a policewoman, and his mother was a saint. However, Todd himself was a serial killer of police officers. He killed at least three police officers. Later, he killed the former lover of Madeline Hightower (Patrick Jane's boss). Later, he killed two more police officers, and later his girlfriend. It was this murder that caused the investigation conducted by Patrick Jane and his friends in the police. Patrick managed to expose Todd and he was detained by the police. However, unfortunately, they did not have time to interrogate Todd in detail. Patrick discovered that someone had set Todd on fire and called for help. Todd was saved, but he died in the hospital. He managed to say the phrase "Tiger, Tiger". This was a phrase from a poem by William Blake. The first quatrain of this poem had previously been told to Patrick by Red John. Patrick put two and two together and realized that Todd knew Red John. Todd's murder has been investigated for a long time. J.J. LaRoChe arrives at the CBI as an independent investigator. He interrogates everyone and finds five suspects who were near the scene of Todd's murder. Among them is Madeline Hightower. It is she who J.J. suspects. However, Patrick and his friends prove that Todd's killer was Craig O'Laughlin.
