Tom's Army is an organization in Metro Exodus: Sam's Story.

They are a group of heavily trained mercenaries currently stationed in the ruins of Vladivostok, under the leadership of its namesake founder, the American weapons dealer Tom, as well as his right-hand man Klim.

They hold a significant iron grip in Vladivostok, as well as the U.S.S. Mayflower's nuclear reactor, where they rule the city ruins with an iron fist.

Background[]

Tom, a weapons dealer hailing from Seattle, Washington in the United States of America, originally worked in Russia, after the events of World War III, whom he proceeded to stockpile a cache of prewar weaponry and ammunition, both completely manufactured, and later expanded further to hire and train mercenaries with Klim.

Soon after, Tom's own mercenary organization grow at a much advantageous rate, when he and his crew were at an advantage against the local bandits. After striking a deal with the Captain known as Eduard Baranov, the latter becomes heavily opposed to Tom's idea of using the U.S.S. Mayflower submarine's nuclear weapons as means to reestablish civilization, which led to a conflict between the two. This caused Baranov to be exiled, and with Tom taking over as Vladivostok's de facto leader.

Tom's Army was firstly encountered by Sam Taylor, whom they kidnapped him, when he was mistaken for a bandit, before they brought him to Tom and to Klim, in an attempt to re-negotiate with Baranov regarding the U.S.S. Mayflower, as well as ridding of Klim, once both himself and Tom negotiated with a deal.

Manpower[]

Comprising of heavily-armed mercenaries with extensive training, as well as considerable numbers, members of Tom's own army all have access to prewar weapons, including the Sammy assault rifle, as well as the Stallion pistol. They are considered to be significantly advantageous within the post-apocalyptic world, including the bandits they faced.
