Tom Lincoln is the secondary antagonist of the 2005 film The Island. He is the human form of the film's protagonist Lincoln-Six-Echo.
Unlike Lincoln-Six-Echo, Tom Lincoln is a rude, aggressive, greedy, and cowardly womanizer. He also had no problem betraying others, especially his clone.
When Lincoln-Six-Echo and Jordan-Two-Delta meet him, Tom attacked Lincoln in self-defense with one of his materials but stops when he recognizes him. He possibly later flirts with Jordan but this could've made her dislike him. Lincoln asks Tom for help in stopping the clone facility from killing the other clones. Tom agrees but secretly betrays them by contacting Dr. Bernard Merrick that he found his clone since he needs Lincoln's liver to survive as he suffers from cirrhosis.
Betrayal and Death
Lincoln and Tom start driving to get there but Tom shouts at Lincoln for not stopping at a red light. When enemies arrive, Tom points a gun at Lincoln and claims he can't afford to die. However, Lincoln starts driving away and they get in a fight, where Tom's glasses come off in the process. When they are in a ware house, they get out of the car and go into a scuffle until Tom holds Lincoln at gunpoint. Laurent arrives and points a gun at them because he can't tell who is who. Lincoln and Tom get into an argument about this until Lincoln puts his clone watch on Tom's wrist and successfully tricks Laurent aiming at Tom. Tom's last words are, "Oh s**t." before he is shot in the chest, killing him while Lincoln whistles and happily says, "Close."
Lincoln would later use Tom's identity to sneak into the clone facility until morgue workers find out by realizing the clone watch is on the wrong wrist and they warn Merrick about it. However, Lincoln still kills Merrick and saves the clones. It's unknown if Lincoln continues to act a Tom or not.
