“ | Oh man. Tombstone. This guy... this freakin' guy. I have fought a lot of guys in my day. Guys with semi-mystical, reality bending powers. Guys with goofy names and goofier costumes. Lots of crazy guys. I have NEVER fought a guy like Lonnie Lincoln a.k.a Tombstone. Most bad guys, you beat 'em, throw 'em in the Raft, they get pissed. Talk about how they're gonna take you down next time; talk about how they're gonna rip you limb from limb. Lonnie? Man, all he does is smile. "Every loss is just another great challenge on the horizon," he once told me - right after I handed him over to the police. There's nothing Tombstone loves more than the promise of a good fight. And when the guy doing the fighting is built like a brick house, with impenetrable skin and razor sharp teeth... well, let's just say I wish he'd discover the joy of paintings or something. There's only so many Great Challenges I can take. | „ |

Biography[]
Past[]
Not much is known about Lonnie Lincoln's past, but he was exposed to the chemical Diox-3 when he was young, which made his skin indestructible and granted him superhuman strength. Lonnie became a feared individual in the criminal underworld and became a drug dealer under the name Tombstone. Lonnie would become the head of a biker gang, and would often battle the vigilante Spider-Man on numerous occasions.
Marvel's Spider-Man[]
Tombstone, who appears to be a machine shop owner, is hired alongside his biker gang by the Inner Demons' leader Martin Li to build an APC to use in their war against Norman Osborn. Tombstone is known to be a supervillain who is indestructible due to exposure to powerful chemicals, so much so that bullet shots to the head have no impact. While Mary Jane is getting trackers from Lincoln's office, Tombstone kills one of his bikers for failing to finish the APCs.
Later, Spider-Man discovers that Tombstone was able to reverse-engineer his condition and package its effects in inhalers that are sold to bikers so he can create and monopolise an entire drug market and make himself rich. After creating a counter-serum to negate Tombstone's powers, Spider-Man confronts Tombstone at the machine shop and battles him alongside his biker gang. After a brawl that demolishes the shop, Tombstone is dosed with the Diox-3 counter serum which leaves him vulnerable to attack; something he soon learns after being cut by an ankle grinder. Even though he uses a flaming chain against Spider-Man as his store burns down around them, Spider-Man finally knocks down Tombstone for good. Defeated and with a broken right arm, Tombstone tells Spider-Man that he fought admirably and that he eagerly awaits round two before Spider-Man leaves as police sirens draw closer.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales[]
Tombstone doesn't appear in but is mentioned by Roxxon Energy CEO Simon Krieger. Krieger wanted to hire Tombstone to track down Spider-Man and the Tinkerer, but states that Lonnie is off the grid. This reveals that Tombstone is still in prison, leaving Krieger to hire The Prowler.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2[]
Just under two years after his last fight with Spider-Man, Tombstone appears in Coney Island; now reformed and working as a mechanic and he is seen helping a customer get out of a go kart crash. After which the Hunters attempt to kidnap him for Kraven to hunt but Spider-Man foils the attempted kidnapping and he gets away unharmed. However they later track him down in and capture him but Spider-Man and Harry Osborn rescue him.
Appearance[]
Tombstone is a tall man; 6 foot 5 inches and 385 pounds with amber eyes and no hair but his size is only the start. Formerly a black man, the exposure to a lot of Diox-3 turned Lonnie Lincoln's skin a stoney light grey; hence his street name. Whilst a drug leader, he wore a black biker outfit with studs and biker jeans but now wears a large grey suit.
Personality[]
“ | You got some stones, Rick. Let's see if they break. Such a disappointment. And now I need a new welder. | „ |
~ Tombstone forcing the treacherous drug dealer to shoot him. |
Tombstone was originally a cold, almost emotionless and ruthless drug lord who would kill anyone who crossed, betrayed or otherwise opposed him. Due to not having felt pain or danger for decades, Tombstone was a man of limited emotion; almost always speaking on a monotone or smug tone with little expression. After being exposed to the Diox-3 counter serum, he became more openly emotional and expressed genuine surprise at Spider-Man being able to injure him.
After his reformation, Tombstone has become more amicable and friendly; completely redeemed and only fighting against when Kraven and his Hunters attacked him. His respect for Spider-Man remains but is much more sincere; respecting him as a crime fighter instead of one of the only people able to match him in battle.
