|~ Tony while he's being robbed.|
Tony Gnucci is a minor antagonist in season 1 of The Punisher and the major antagonist in the episode "3AM".
He was portrayed by James J. Lorenzo.
While in the basement of the restaurant Linello's in Little Italy, Tony Gnucci is playing poker with his mafia friends when Lance, Leo, Paulie, and Donny arrive with guns and wearing balaclavas. Lance holds Tony at gunpoint and tells Donny to start taking all of their money, but when his bag is suddenly caught on one of the chairs, his wallet accidentally falls out of his pocket and shows his driver's license. All four of the thieves panic and hurriedly leave with the money.
After The Punisher kills Lance, Leo, and Paulie, Tony is seen again in the basement planning to kill the thieves and Donny in revenge for robbing them when by kidnapping Donny and forcing him to reveal who the other thieves are when Frank suddenly cuts their power and Tony leaves to turn it back on. Frank then suddenly shoots one of Tony's goons and a massive firefight breaks out.
When the lights come back on, Tony returns and discovers the massacre, and Frank quickly executes Tony with his own gun to make the scene look like another gang killed all of them.
Tony is indirectly mentioned later by Micro when Frank asks him how he managed to discover him since everyone believed he died, to which Micro replied "I waited for a bunch of bad guys to turn up dead and then I just checked nearby.", referring to Frank's history of violently murdering criminals and then leaving most of the evidence behind. Micro then deleted all of the security camera footage in Linello's.
- Tony Gnucci is a reference to the Gnucci crime family in Marvel Comics ran by Ma Gnucci, though it's unknown if Tony is related to Ma or what his relation to her is if they are indeed from the same family.
