So, tell me, to save those that are dear to you, will you go back on your principles?
~ Toross
I've had enough, Yugo!
~ Toross' breakdown as he is about to attack Yugo.

Toross Mordal is one of the main antagonists of the Krosmoz mythos.

He is the king of the Necros race, formerly the hero of his world having gathered the six Dofus of the Necroworld before its annihilation.

He was voiced by Lionel Tua.

Personality[]

Toross apparition

Toross revealing its crooked and ominous nature.

Toross Mordal is shown to be a emotionless, calm but cold-hearted individual that always is seen constantly thirsty for the Wakfu energy like his servants. This insatiable hunger guides him in his actions.

He also seems to be sadistic and self-confident, having taken pleasure in taunting Nora by asking her how the Goddess Eliatrope is doing after her escape from the Necroworld or her provocations towards Adamaï by telling her that he has a very small chance of winning against him. he uses the Eliatropes Dofus. However, his arrogance is a weak point, as he ignored Efrim's advice to get rid of Yugo because he was too dangerous.

But he has a certain compassion, whether towards his subjects who have become Necros through his fault but also towards his enemies like Yugo whom he pities while he is drained of his Wakfu to feed the necros. In a sense, he can remind Nox, but unlike the latter who thought that his bad actions would be erased if he carried out his plan, Toross is aware that what he is doing is irreversible, but has no another choice to feed his people. Moreover, he considers the fact of still feeling emotions to be a curse.

Toross is full of regrets but doesn't always learn from his mistakes. He rationed himself in Wakfu so as not to be too greedy and risk having his plans fail, but always seeks more power, and was completely blinded by the thirst for power when he saw the Eliasphere for the first time, forgetting that it was this same thirst for power that cursed him and his people.

Appearance[]

Just like most Necros. Toross is a tall, thin, wrinkled ghoul-like humanoid with greyish-purple skin. His face is elongated with protruding fangs in his mouth and his head reveals complete baldness except for four long white locks and luminescent pink eyes. His clothing consists in a dark purple suit from the neck to the thighs, as well a black cape, belt, and boots. In his body are submerged 3 of the primordial Dofus that have now acquired a pink color (caused by the stasis energy inside).

Powers and Abilities[]

Toross blade

Toross using all the energy of his dofus and increasing the power of his sword.

Toross is a immortal individual that is capable of manipulating Stasis. His Necroma condition makes him extremely resistant in addition to his immunity to Wakfu which strengthens him.

The Dofus embedded in him grant him superhuman physical abilities such as great speed, and strength allowing him to keep demigods in check and even Yugo equipped with Eliatrope Dofus.

He also has the power to materialize platforms, shoot energy rays, fly and summon a sword with which he can launch energy waves.

History[]

Past[]

Millennia ago, Toross Mordal was once considered to be the greatest hero of his world, being the first to find six Primordial Dofus. But his desire to always want more pushed him to abuse their power which devastated his world, being nothing more than a barren and lifeless land, the Necroworld. All the inhabitants, Toross included, then become Necros, beings driven by a single desire: the insatiable hunger for Wakfu.

One day, the gods banished the Great Goddess Eliatrope to the Necroworld, this attracted the lust of Toross who locked her in a tower and tortured her every day in order to drain her Wakfu and feed his people.

Toross flashback

Toross in a flashback told by Nora.

Millennia later, the Eliatrope Nora and her dragon brother Efrim, children of the Great Goddess, manage to enter the Necroworld. They face the Necros as well as Toross. During the battle, Efrim sacrifices himself to allow Nora and the goddess to flee, thereby losing the Necromes' only source of food.

However, nothing was lost for Toross. Through his sacrifice, Efrim became a loyal Necroman in his pay. Toross then decides to use his powers and his bond with Nora to invade other worlds.

Wakfu: Season 4[]

Thanks to the powers of Efrim and Nora (who is unaware that she is being manipulated by her bond with her brother), Toross was able to open portals allowing the Necros to invade the World of Twelve. This is how several small groups attack different places on the planet, which pushes Nora as well as Qilby, Yugo, Adamaï, Amalia and Joris to inspect these portals to understand how to close them.

They end up in the Necroworld, Toross closes the portal that allowed them to get out. A fight pits him against Adamaï equipped with the six Eliatropes Dofus. Shortly after, they are entrusted to Qilby who opens a portal to leave the premises. Toross, however, manages to catch Yugo so that he stays put.

With the young Eliatrope at his mercy, Toross intends to use him as a substitute for the goddess to prepare his people for the future invasion of the World of Twelve, against the advice of Efrim who suggests killing him immediately, considering him too clever to be kept alive. Toross then locked Yugo in the same tower where he held the goddess and subjected him to the same tortures to drain his wakfu. Yugo, however, managed to hold on by keeping his mind occupied thanks to Oropo. Subsequently, Qilby intervenes using the Eliasphere and frees Yugo, bringing him back to the Inglorium.

Toross then decides to take action. He uses the link between Efrim and Nora to open a larger portal to the Sadida Kingdom, the first target of their invasion. Subsequently, he transforms Nora into a statue after telling her his ultimate objective: to invade the entire Krozmoz. He then leads the Necros' assault on the Sadida Kingdom.

During the attack, he feels the presence of Yugo, Joris and Goultard heading towards his world. He then guesses that they intend to free Nora to send his troops back to the Necroworld and follows them. He then faces Yugo in a duel, who uses his powers reinforced by the Eliatrope Dofus to fill him with energy. Toross eventually figures out that Yugo's goal was to keep him away from his castle and keep him busy while Goultard and Joris free Nora. He then rushes to the scene but too late, Nora is freed and returns to the Sadida Kingdom. Angry, Toross confronts his three adversaries into space, as the fight then ends with Yugo teletransporting Goultard to the direction of the undead king, knocking him near to the World of Twelve's surface until he falls.

However, Yugo notices Toross and all the other Necros falling back to the portal to the Necroworld, Yugo then announces that he has lost and returns to the World of Twelve with Joris and Goultard, Toross tries to catch up with him but is carried away by the fall of his Necros. When he gets up, he finds himself facing Efrim and Nora who now has control over him. The latter tells him that he will no longer have any control over them and leaves with his brother to the ends of the universe.

Defeated and now imprisoned at the Necroworld for eternity, Toross Mordal then returns to his castle and settles on his throne.

Quotes[]

Toross: Tell me, old dragon, how did your hunt go? Show me, Rotalström. Show me what you got for me.
(Rotalström proceeds to expel a huge amount of wakfu at Toross)
Toross: Yes... This feels so good. Good job, old foe, good job. How did it go?
Sram necro: We have a feast for you, Master Mordal.
Toross: Perfect timing... I'm... famished.

~ Toross receiving wakfu from his loyal minions and being warned of a new fertile world where there is enough wakfu
Welcome to the Necroworld. You are my guests. You just got here, you aren't going to leave so soon, are you?
~ Toross introducing himself upon noticing the presence of new visitors in his domains
All right. That's enough for now. Let's not be too gluttonous. Little one. Don't think i derive pleasure from this. I must feed my people. Whatever it takes.
~ Toross going to the tower of the Necroworld to approach Yugo, while stopping the extraction of his wakfu, and explain to him why it is necessary to feed his people

Toross: Sorry, young lady. But i have other plans for you.
(Toross capturing Nora)
Nora: Efrim!
(Nora looks at Efrim, exhausted and without saying a word)
Nora: Efrim! You used me!
Toross: Your brother won't listen to you anymore, Nora. Yes, we have been using you. I'm grateful to both of you for coming to your mother's rescue. Without your intervention, we'd still be stuck in the Necroworld. You've got such a great potential, Nora. Thanks to you, we'll be able to travel and we will never feel hungry again.
(Nora tries to attack Toross but is held back by dozens of Necros who hold her, slowly petrifying with them)
Nora: Don't do that, i beg you. Don't make me responsible for the end of the world.
Toross: It's not the end of the world, little one. It's the dawn of a new era, a fairer era. In my quest for power, i was such a fool that i destroy my world and doomed my kind. I... always wanted more. More riches, more stregth, more power, We, the necros, are all driven by one single motivation; Feeding ourselves. Nothing else matters. Do you understand, little Nora? We stand united in hunger. No more jeleaousy, resentment, hatred...
(Nora interrupts Toross before finishing his monologue)
Nora: And love...
Toross: Yes, no more love either. What's the point of love anyway? It's a fleeting feeling that is bound to dissapoint you.
Nora: Efrim.
Toross: Thanks to you and Efrim, we will always have new worlds to explore, Nora. For your people, you are the most powerful gift.

~ Toross.

Trivia[]

  • He is the first antagonist of the series to come from another dimension while Nox came from the World of Twelve, Qilby came from the Eliatrope home world and later the former, Oropo came from Yugo, and Rushu came from the World of the Shushus.
  • Toross is likely meant to be based on Nox from the same series since both have a similar body type, head shape and have almost the same goal and are sympathetic since they wanted to drain people and other creatures of their Wakfu but only to do things for the people they care about and aren’t truly immoral compared to most of the other villains.
  • He is the only main antagonist of the series not to be related to or interested in the Eliacube, since it had been destroyed in the previous season.
  • Is the second main villain not to face Sadlygrove, Evangelyne, Elely, Ruel and Kama-sutar Junior. Despite this, his actions did directly affect the rest of the Brotherhood of the Tofu when they had to deal with the portals opened by Efrim, fight the necros and return them to their world.
