~ Hillsdale threatening his rape victim's infant son |
Travis Hillsdale is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode of "One More Tale of Two More Victims". He is a sexual predator who rapes women in front of their children.
He is portrayed by Johnny Pemberton.
Biography[]
He was an ice cream vendor and was seemingly a pleasant man to his customers. In truth, he was a sexual predator who used his position to find women to rape.
In "One More Tale of Two Victims"[]
Travis first attacked Crystal Nunez, stalking her and her son to her apartment. He would keep his COVID mask on to hide his face then deceive her into thinking he needed to install something to gain entry. With her guard down, he proceeds to rape Crystal in front of her son while threatening to kill him if she didn't feign enjoyment.
When SVU Sergeant Fin Tutuola and Detective Joe Velasco interviewed him, he denied knowledge of Crystal's assault, but he does bring up the men harassing her. He was brought line up anyway but because Crystal did not see his face, he is let off the hook.
Realizing he got away with his crime, he decided to strike again by attacking another regular, Peggy Grogan. He stalked her and her 18-month child to their apartment, raping Grogan while threatening to kill the child if she cried. Travis also stole Grogan's gun after using it to strike her after she tried to defend herself. He planned to use the gun in future attacks.
Unfortunately, Grogan and her daughter were related to a well-respected cop and a reward was put up for his capture. SVU found the common detail in the pattern of the rapes, as they were all Travis' regulars and they caught him while he was scoping for a new victim. He realized the cops were onto him and tried to escape, before entering a standoff with Tutuola and Detective Amanda Rollins but was tackled by Velasco, who was so outraged by what Travis had done to his victims that he nearly strangled him. Fin and Rollins stopped him, however, and arrested Travis.
While in holding for his arraignment, Travis was attacked and savagely beaten by his fellow inmates who heard what he did to his victims. When he appeared in court, he had a black eye and broken arm.
In the end, Travis is found guilty of raping Grogan, and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
