Treadshot is a minor antagonist in the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure in the 1990 toyline, where he was part of the non-transforming Action Master range.
Biography[]
Treadshot made his only Marvel US appearance in Issue #77, where he was one of the Decepticons stationed on Cybertron in the aftermath of the battle with Unicron. He was present for a meeting of the Autobot-Decepticon alliance, attending in the company of Soundwave and Crankcase. At the meeting, it was explained that the death of Primus during Unicron's attack was causing Cybertron to tear itself apart and they needed to evacuate.
Treadshot was again working with Soundwave and Crankcase to load the evacuation shuttles when they witnessed Autobot leader Grimlock giving a beating to Fangry, who had objected to taking orders from him. Prowl stepped in to halt the brawl, at which point Bludgeon, the new Decepticon leader, stepped in to demand Prowl tell them what his plans for the future were. Prowl explained he intended for them to settle on a barren, uninhabited planet.
As the Decepticon shuttle took off, Bludgeon explained to Treadshot and the other Decepticons that he instead intended to attack and conquer a new world for them. The other Decepticons enthusiastically agreed to the plan, and to the fact that Bludgeon had sabotaged the Autobots' shuttles and left them behind on Cybertron to die.
