The tree loggers, or known simply as just loggers, are enemies who feature in the 2007 video game The Simpsons Game.
They are responsible for mass deforestation under Mr. Burns' logging company Auntie Nature Eco-Friendly Clearcutting.
They were voiced by Harry Shearer, who voiced many other characters in The Simpsons series, including Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner, Adolf Hitler, Scratchy and numerous others.
Physical appearance[]
The loggers are identical. They wear blue overalls and white short-sleeved t-shirts and white safety caps. They have large, bushy beards which match their brown hair. Some loggers carry chainsaw launchers, a projectile weapon used from afar.
Personalities[]
The loggers' are shown to be aggressive and violent individuals. They have disregard for the environment and have no qualms in abusing Bart and Lisa to stop them from shutting down the logging camp. They also frequently insult Bart and Lisa.
Biography[]
Background[]
The loggers work at Auntie Nature Eco-Friendly Clearcutting, a company owned by Mr. Burns that engages in deforestation to make toothpicks. The company has existed for generations. One logger mentions how he comes from a line of loggers dating back to his great-great grandfather. Lisa, who is a staunch environmentalist and has recently learned of her new powers from the Game Manual, is outraged by the company and takes it upon herself to shut down the camp with the help of Bart (who is less enthusiastic, but reassured when Lisa tells him he can hurt a lot of bad guys).
The Simpsons Game[]
The loggers first appear in Lisa the Tree Hugger, which serves as the fourth level of the overall game. After Lisa and Bart break in to the logging camp, the loggers start to attack them to prevent them from closing down the company. As Bart and Lisa progress, the loggers chop down a tree which Lenny Leonard and Carl Carlson are sat atop to birdwatch.
After Bart and Lisa destroy the camp, some surviving loggers confront the pair and tell them they have put hundreds of employees out of a job. Lisa encourages them to retrain, but is shut down by the loggers who tell them logging is all they know.
Some of the loggers killed by Bart and Lisa return in Game Over, the final level of the game which is set in Heaven. The loggers retain their moveset, and Bart remarks on how he thought he had killed them all before, and begrudges having to kill them again.
