Tremor is a minor antagonist in the Mortal Kombat franchise. He is a brown garbed ninja with earth elemental powers and a member of the Black Dragon Clan.
Tremor is voiced by Fred Tatascoire in the games and Imari Williams in Snow Blind.
Tremor was broken out of Special Forces prison by Kano, and was assigned to guard a portal to Outworld and kill any Special Forces agents that may have discovered his whereabouts. Tremor was defeated and killed by Major Jax Briggs in their encounter.
Mortal Kombat (2011)[]
Tremor appears as a playable character in the PlayStation Vita edition of Mortal Kombat (2011), having few super moves and being available only in the Challenge Tower.
Mortal Kombat X[]
Comics[]
Game[]
Tremor appears as a playable DLC character in Mortal Kombat X. He is depicted as seeking revenge on Kano as well as the Special Forces. In his non canon ending, Tremor is depicted as having been sent to the Dreamrealm, which ended up enhancing his powers, leading him to be able to defeat Shinnok. He would become a demi-god of earth on an equal scale to Raiden and Fujin.
Mortal Kombat 11[]
Tremor makes a cameo appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 in the Krypt. Much like Rain and Smoke, Tremor doesn't have his design from the new games and new timeline. He has his old original appearance the Termor seen in Mortal Kombat 11 is the young Tremor from the original timeline. He can be found falling off a bridge at random time in a certain area and like other ninjas he is seen falling on to a spike and dies. After away like all the others his body and soul despise Shang Tsung takes his soul and turns into young Tremor. It is Tremor from the original timeline because he still looks human and doesn't have his rock skin or body like he does in the new timeline.
Mortal Kombat 1[]
Tremor features as a DLC Kameo fighter.
Background Info[]
Tremor was planned to be in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, but he was replaced by Rain, who had already appeared in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Tremor can still be seen in the game's instruction manual, but incorrectly labeled as Ermac, depicted as an orange ninja along with Rain. Some Rumors about him continued and people thought he was going to appear in Mortal Kombat Armageddon but he did not appeared in that game.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
Unique Physiology: Tremor is a brown palleted ninja who has wide array of abilities. In later appearances in Mortal Kombat, he is known to be an Earth Elemental and an enforcer of the Black Dragon Clan.
Superhuman Strength: Tremor possesses extremely high levels of strength. He is able to shake the world with a single punch.
Superhuman Speed: Tremor has great speed, being able to move faster than the speed of sound.
Superhuman Agility
Superhuman Durability
Superhuman Endurance: Tremor can tolerate even the greatest amounts of physical pain and stand up no problem after that.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Tremor can heal from wounds or injuries very quickly.
Invulnerability: With Tremor's stoned chest and arms, he is nearly invulnerable to even the strongest of attacks.
Elemental Magic: Debuting as a brown palette-swap ninja with immense strength, Tremor's power came from his superhuman strength, allowing him to shake the Earth and damage his opponents. Additionally, he was able to summon fireball projectiles at his opponent. Starting in the Mortal Kombat X Comics and later in Mortal Kombat X, Tremor's power and abilities are greatly expanded on, depicting the Black Dragon enforcer as an Earth Elemental. While retaining his original abilities and traits of disrupting the Earth beneath him and others, Tremor's powers now affect other elements of the Earth. Not only is he able to summon rocks or enhance himself with rock formations on his body, Tremor has full control over other minerals such as golds, crystals, and magma, even to the point that Tremor is unaffected by the molten rock when it makes contact with his body. Tremor's control over these minerals is so deadly that he can even turn his opponents to stone, crystallize their body, turn them into gold or burn them to a crisp with magma. In addition to his expanded abilities, Tremor's body is now coated in rock. His chest and arms are completely covered in stone, to the point that the formations have become is actual skin. Additionally, Tremor can use the formations just as he does with the Earth itself, forming rock from his bare hands and even changing them into weapons for him to use. With his manipulation of other minerals of the Earth, Tremor's rock skin can also change to gold, crystal and even magma, with the formations of molten rock causing no harm to his being. He is able to alter how his rock skin works, allowing him to change his fighting style to fight anyone that steps up to challenge Tremor.

He's the only ninja character who was not present in the main games until MKX.
He is able to create earthquakes in the ground by punching it, and also has the ability to shoot fireballs and launch stone missiles that petrify the enemy.
Tremor was originally going to be orange, but his color was changed to brown to match his earth-based powers.
Despite being a minor character, Tremor's popularity among some fans helped him to appear in MKX.
Following Jarek, Tremor is the second playable Black Dragon character whose name does not begin with a "K".
One of the most noticeable gag was that Tremor being mistaken for Scorpion in his debut, due to having almost similar color appearance, even the creator Ed Boon dubbed Tremor as “Brown Scorpion”.
