Biography[]
Overview[]
Orphaned after a house fire killed his family, a young Trenton suffered a psychotic break after being burned in the event. As an adult, became a serial arsonist and started several fires that claimed many lives, including that of Firefighter Henry Mills. He always avoided detection, as he changed his identity to that of one of his victims such as Ross McGowan and later Adrian Gish, an alias he would use for a decade when fulfilling his occupation as an insurance agent.
Let Him Die[]
Lamont rented out a storage facility under an alias, in the facility he would keep bulk supplies of arsonist materials and newspaper clippings of his various crimes, including that of the fire that claimed the life of paramedic Leslie Shay of Firehouse 51. However, the storage unit was set a light but Firehouse 51 responded and the firefighters realized the arsonist was the one who killed Shay and called in the cops to investigate.
Three Bells[]
Lamont sends a letter to fellow arsonist and imprisoned firefighter Kevin Hadley who later notifies his former colleagues. The return address is from the lot, where Henry Mills died and Chief Boden recognizes it immediately, realizing the arsonist also killed his former colleague. Lamont personally met Severide, subtly hinting to being the arsonist by offering condolences about Shay. This causes Severide to realize his identity as the arsonist.
A Little Devil Complex[]
As a result of his meeting with Severide, Lamont was pursued by Firehouse 51 for killing their comrade. Gabriela Dawson, Shay's closest friend asked her brother Antonio to arrest him and he agrees. The siblings confront Lamont at his job under his alias as Adrian Gish, but he refuses to comply and Antonio claims the latter assaulted him by spitting in his face, despite his protest and Gabriela tells his boss and coworkers of his identity as a murderer, to their shock.
At the precinct, he refuses to answer any questions and his lawyer is able to get him released. However, the cops were not fooled and Patrol officers Sean Roman and Kim Burgess followed him after he left. They soon pursued him into a pizzeria, where he orders a pizza and disappears for a while. However, Lamont was aware that he was being followed and went outside to Detectives Halstead and Lindsay, giving them the pizza as thanks to the police on their work. Seconds later, Burgess and Roman's patrol car explodes, shocking the gathered parties that he apparently placed a bomb on the car.
As he is about to shoot Gabriela, her brother arrives in time and shoots him in the head, killing him instantly. Gabriela also catches the lighter before it hits the gas, putting an end to Lamont's spree of terror.
