What's the matter, fearless leader? Need your beauty sleep?
~ Trey's sarcastic comment to Terminal.

Trey Watkins, also called Trey, is an antagonist in Batman Beyond.

He's a member of the Jokerz who left school in sixth grade to join them. He's specifically the right-hand man of Terminal's team.

He was voiced by Omar Gooding.

Biography[]

Before, Trey was a student but left school in sixth grade to join the Jokerz. He was first seen when he came to help J-Man defeat Terry McGinnis. During a motorcycle chase, with Weasel, Trey tried to attack Terry with his flail, but missed. After that, Trey stopped chasing Terry.

Later, Trey joined Terminal's team and initially helped him terrorize a businessman. Under Terminal's orders, Trey released vicious, razor-sharp gag teeth that were supposedly attracted to the businessman's clothes. Afterward, Trey and the rest of the group slipped off the train by sliding down a cable. Infortunately, Batman (Terry McGinnis) arrived to save the businessman. Trey then asked Terminal what to do next, but Terminal replied that he was crashing. At this, Trey made a sarcastic comment, saying that Terminal was a fearless leader who needed a "beauty sleep." Hearing this, Terminal grabbed Trey by his collar, ready to throw him off the roof. He ordered him to don't make fun of him, and even though Trey apologized, Terminal still dropped him. Trey survived by grabbing onto some railings above.

That evening, Trey broke into the high school with the other Jokerz to help Terminal erase Max Gibson's results, after the latter was reprimanded by his mother for coming second behind her. Trey and the other Jokerz destroyed computers containing the GAT results, before watching Terminal attempt to erase Max's results. Unfortunately, Terminal could not because its access was blocked. Trey remarks " He blept you", but Terminal replies that there's more than one way to interface, before furiously hits computer screen of Max image with his kick.

On the next night, Trey and the other Jokerz appear outside the high school and flee when the Batmobile appears. Terry gives chase and after catching up with them, Terry sees Trey wearing Max's student pass, and realizes who their real target is.

The next night, Max arranged to meet Terry at the park about his "secret", but found herself confronted by Terminal and his Jokerz. Terry, disguised as Batman, finally arrives and Max flees, but is pursued by Trey. Max tried to defeat Trey by hitting him with a metal pipe, but Trey's secret shield-hat prevented the impact. Trey eventually caught up with Max, but she threw him against a switch on a nearby fountain, causing the ball suspended on top to fall and roll. This allowed Terminal to be at a disadvantage, thus enabling Batman to defeat and unmask him, revealing him to be Carter Wilson.

After that, Trey was seen as one of the many Jokerz gathered in their hideout when Batman and Ten raided it in the belief that her family was abducted by them. They were spotted but then managed to escape.

However, Trey never reappeared after that, leaving his fate unknown.

Trivia[]

  • Trey was wearing a shorter black jacket instead of his big orange jacket before joining Terminal's team.
