Early Life[]

Tristan Turnbull was a Japanese college student who wanted to be a prosecutor. He was amazing in college, making every student and teacher astounded and shocked, but his fame and reputation would end as Miles Edgeworth humbled him in a mock trial, after he graduated law school. He went to the United States for the rest of his life due to his jealousy over Edgeworth. He then went to do multiple cases as an international prosecutor and possibly making sure all of the defendants get a falsely justified verdict.

The Avery Richman Trial[]

Turnbull was assigned to a case in conspiracy with The Prosecutor's Office, where the defendant was a well-known multi-millionaire known as Avery Richman from Goldstruck Republic. Richman was convicted of murdering Benjamin Cashanova, the security general of the All-Trade American Foundation, he was giving a speech until suddenly he was suddenly shot, the people suddenly panicked and called the police. After the police arrived at the scene, they begin investigating the crime scene and questioning everyone and body searching them, when the police questioned Richman and body searched him, they found a gun and immediately arrested Richman and put him on trial. Turnbull agreed to the position as prosecutor and decided to investigate the crime scene himself and he studied all the evidence and the case file.

After some time, Turnbull got ready for the trial and arrived at the courtroom for the trial. The Witnesses were a lot of people but there was one person who saw it all, his name is Gale Gelic, who was in fact the true killer of Benjamin Cashanova.

After Gelic testified, the judge decided to end the trial there but soon Richman protested, the judge silenced Richman and handed down the guilty verdict. After that Richman got arrested and got sent to prison and Turnbull walked off feeling satisfied by the outcome.

Northward, Turnabout Express:[]

After a lot of time, Tristan Turnbull finally decided to take a vacation. Oddly enough, he was invited to the Sliver Star Train, a train made by Avery Richman. He took the invitation and arrived at the station then he headed to the train. After some time, Richman walks in with his employees with guns in their hands, Richman tells them to calm down and then scolds an employee for being a bit too rude. Richman then addresses why he's doing this and he says he invited Phoenix Wright to defend himself and Maya Fey to assist.

Later, Turnbull speaks up saying he's the prosecutor for the retrial. After some bickering from the people and Turnbull speaking to them, he introduces himself and says he's going to get prepared and goes to the other side. He finds Gelic inside his room and later kills him, then he sets the room on fire and asks his accomplice, Rick Steam, to impersonate Gelic and Rick does it after some time. Wright and Fey entered the room seeing Gelic dead and the room on fire, then the two of them call the others to help them with this situation. However, Turnbull tells everyone to back off and he goes to the room with a fire extinguisher in his hands and sets out the fire but after Fey, Wright and the others walks in after Turnbull got out, the body is nowhere to be seen everyone is visible shocked by this and after some time Steam comes out wondering if he could help with anything.

Wright and Fey then ask Gumshoe for help but unfortunately Regina Loccomoti keeps ruining the process for him, but after some time, Loccomoti accidentally shot Gumshoe in the shoulder, she apologized and bandaged him. Later, Gumshoe and Loccomoti dig in for information about the current case. While that's happening, Wright and Fey are fighting for Richman's innocence against Turnbull. After some time, Gumshoe finally managed to reach out to Miles Edgeworth and told him to read the case file from the Avery Richman Trial and help them out.

During this time, Wright exposed Rick Steam as an accomplice. Richman asked Steam if he was supporting the United States' Attorney Office for a long time, Rick later bursts into tears and says he's sorry and he was paid a lot of money by them if he listened. Turnbull got a bit irritated by Rick's sudden confession. During this time, Edgeworth went to the Attorney Offices and talked to them about this case. After some arguing, the chief prosecutor and the others gave up and agree with Edgeworth's argument. Gumshoe and Regina finally found a way to connect the laptop to the screen at the room where the trial was taking place in the other car that was separated some time ago. Wright and Fey look surprised by Edgeworth's appearance inside the video call and Edgeworth says he's here to help Wright and Fey take down Prosecutor Turnbull.

The chief prosecutor and the others scold Turnbull for his crimes and says that he is no longer going to escape from his crimes and after Wright and Edgeworth corners Turnbull, Richman says he's going to detonate a bomb inside the train, leaving himself getting killed by the bomb! Thankfully Wright and Fey were able to change Richman's mind and they all went to the separated car which was almost reconnected and controlled by Gumshoe and Regina. They all got in and after that the car exploded, after it became daytime and the train arrived at a train station in America after some time Turnbull and Steam got arrested and sent to prison.
