Triton is the son of King Neptune and the main antagonist of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Clash of Triton". He is also the main antagonist in the online game.
He was voiced by the Canadian heavy metal singer, Sebastian Philip Bierk.
History
At the Krusty Krab, King Neptune explained the story of his son through a projection image, showing a flashback when Triton was young. He was first seen as a boy, becoming interested over a baseball that he watched, wanting his father to teach it to him. King Neptune shot his trident at a field light, scarring the baseball players away, shocking Triton and telling his father to leave him alone. He is later seen as a teenager, using chemical compounds to create a cure for mortal diseases. King Neptune, however, told Triton that gods do not care about mortals or their diseases.
Finally having enough of his rebellious son, Neptune has Triton locked away on an remote island until he learns to be part of the gods, much to Triton's disappointment. This caused a strained relationship between the father and son.
One day, in episode The Clash of Triton, SpongeBob lets him out, in vengeful rampage, he causes destruction around the city and he locked his father and everyone at the party in a cage as an act of revenge.
SpongeBob and Patrick try to stop him but was futile the attempt. However, they manage to acquire the tridents of King Neptune and Queen Amphitrite to gain god-like powers. The heroes must face off against Krabzilla and King Neptune's advisers (who Triton posseses for himself) to clear each area of Bikini Bottom (including Rock Bottom) which Triton has turned into a giant mountain called Mt.Triton.
After clearing the areas, the heroes arrive at the Krusty Krab. Triton uses his god-like powers and his Krabby Patty minions to attack. However, SpongeBob and Patrick manage to defeat him and rescue the people. He is later reunited with his father, just for realize that Neptune pleased in the destruction that caused Triton, giving the knowdledge that the throne will fall in the good hands of Triton, reconciling their differences with each other and hugged for leaving in peace.
