Biography[]
The Troll is an evil troll that kidnaps anyone who comes near his house. He kidnaps Hansel and Gretel and chains them up. After engaging in a fight between his other captive The Wood Fairy, he hears The Sandman outside his home and goes to kidnap him. While sneaking up on him, The Sandman throws some of his magic sleep dust on The Troll, making him sleep. The Sandman then goes into The Troll's house and saves The Wood Fairy, Hansel, and Gretel. When Brunhilda, Hansel and Gretel's stepmother, comes near his house, she breaks into his house and makes The Troll her slave. She demands that he becomes her servant, which he does. She becomes very controlling over him and forces him to do chores and follow out demands such as dust the kitchen, the upstairs and downstars bedrooms, get rid of the wire hangers, and give her fried chicken and martinis. Frustrated and sad, he prays and asks God to take Brunhilda away up until the night when Brunhilda finds him and demands he goes back inside and finish his chores and make her something to eat and drink. Snapping, he attempts to blast her with his lasers. Brunhilda then leaves his house to go find the talking raven that stole the locket of Hansel and Gretel's deceased mother as she wants to sell it to become wealthy, much to his happiness. The Troll appears at the end of the film when he, The Boogeyman, and The Sandman visit the home of the two children whose dad was reading them the story of the movie. They explain that they were real and the original inspiration of the fairy tale written by The Grim Brothers. After The Sandman puts the kids to sleep with his magic sleep dust, The Troll, Boogeyman, and Sandman leave.
Little Red Riding Hood[]
In the story of Little Red Riding Hood, the Troll is the main antagonist who devours Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother and disguises himself as her in an attempt to trick Little Red Riding Hood. In the traditional story, he succeeds in eating her only for a huntsman to enter the cabin and free both Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother from the troll via cutting his stomach (killing the troll in the process). However, in most modern takes of the story this violent ending is omitted for one in which Little Red Riding Hood manages to defeat the troll in some other (less gruesome) manner.
Trivia[]
