Horseplay is my middle name.
~ Trophy
Trophy: Yeah? You honestly telling me that deep down, you’re not angry all the time? C’mon. Don’t you want to punch me right now?
Knife: Are you offering?
Trophy: Is that the only way you’d do it? With my permission? Ugh, what happened to you, man!?
~ Trophy belittling Knife

Trophy, labeled as The Jock, is a supporting antagonist on Inanimate Insanity II the second season of the animated web series, Inanimate Insanity. He competed on the Grand Slams until his elimination in "Cooking for the Greater Good".

He is voiced by Justin Napolitano.

Appearance[]

Trophy is an anthropomorphic golden trophy that is commonly seen in athletics that rank first in sports, which is in the shape of a hourglass. He has a large head, thin waist, two handles, and a wide bottom. His head has a circular hole on the top of his head.

Personality[]

Trophy is quite arrogant and aggressive, and is heavily competitive. He often aims to win challenges and beat others. In order to reach victory, Trophy often is mischievous by blackmailing others to do things for him. Trophy often is cruel to other contestants, such as kicking Tissues off the iceberg after he asks him to make an alliance.

Trophy however, respects stronger contestants such as Knife, even attempting to befriend him, only to later blackmail him into being his slave or he would reveal Knife's surprising addiction to Dora Dolls. Trophy is finds joy by putting others to shame, but doesn't enjoy if he is put in shame instead.

Trophy appears to have a soft side, as in the Inanimate Insanity shorts, he is much less of a jock and is revealed he has an interest in photography. As of "The Reality of the Situation", Trophy has shown to have calmed down a bit, though he does still have a rough edge towards Knife, though now it's for his newfound kindness.

Biography[]

In "Breaking the Ice", Trophy first says that he will cream the other contestants and win the million dollars, showing how competitive he is. After Knife says that his fists can break the ice, Trophy would insult him and says that his pillow arms can break anything. Trophy later states that horseplay is his middle name, which Tissues replies by saying it is an odd middle name, which angers Trophy. Later, when Tissues ask if he and Trophy can be in an alliance, Trophy tells Tissues he should die, and competitively knocks him into the water.

In "Marsh on Mars", Trophy looks for Knife, who he calls "the only cool person around here". While he was searching for him, he finds Knife playing with his Dora Doll and takes a picture of him. Knife begs Trophy not to show anyone the photo, and Trophy agrees to him, as long as Knife is his slave for the rest of the competition.

In "Tri Tour Best", he forces Knife to make him another milkshake after dropping his earlier one. When Knife asks him if he wanted chocolate or vanilla, Trophy screams that he wanted banana blast an smashes the glass on him. He later asks Nickel if he wanted to compete, who didn't feel like it. Instead, Trophy forces Knife to go. In the end of the challenge, Trophy says that he can't believe what his blackmailing has caused.

In "Cooking for the Grater Good", after Knife refused to do any more work for him, he shows the picture to everyone. While everyone laughed at the photo at first, Baseball's speech has convinced them not to laugh, which shocks Trophy and is confronted by Knife, but tells him to fall off a bridge. Trophy was later eliminated with 1,945 votes. Out of anger, Trophy crushes Box, with Suitcase calling him a monster and says that he is jealous of Box since the latter is still in the game. When Trophy tells her to shut up, Knife decides he's had enough of him, and kicks him to the rejection portal.

Trophy makes a cameo in "A Kick in the Right Direction", appearing in MePhone4's MeLife recovery app.

In "Everything's A-OJ", when Pepper opens the "DO NOT ENTER" door, Trophy jumps out and punches her and knocks her down. He says that he has been constantly sneezed by Tissues, and slams her on the ground before OJ comes. In the end of the episode, Trophy, alongside the other eliminated contestants are given a room each on Hotel OJ.

Trophy is mentioned by Knife in "Mine Your Own Business", revealing that Knife's change of heart and attempt to be a better person was due to Trophy's blackmailing making him feel ashamed. As a result, he decides to not blackmail Microphone and Taco in spite of not approving of Taco's presence.

While Trophy does not physically appear in "Hatching the Pain", his voice can be heard as he accidentally drops his herbal tea and resorts on having cacao nibs instead. As Fan realizes that he is in the wrong way, he presumably bumps into Trophy in the process, causing him to drop his jar of cacao nibs and cries in dismay of this loss.

Trophy appears in "The Reality of the Situation", encountering a visiting Knife again. He claims that "the mighty have fallen" in reference to Knife's nicer attitude, belittling him over this change. When Trophy asks Knife if he wants to fight, Knife asks for permission, which leads to Trophy leaving in disgust, asking what happened to him. Trophy is later seen throughout the episode, socializing with other characters and witnessing OJ's death to MePhoneX. Trophy is later mentioned by Steve Cobs when Suitcase and Knife enter his office to defeat him, Cobs mocking Knife, saying he took Trophy's advice by busting in head on.

In "Through No Choice of Your Own", Trophy does not speak, but he is seen complying to protecting himself and everyone else from MePhoneX. He is also seen reacting to MePhone's reveal that he made all the contestants, appearing angered by this revelation. When Cobs takes control of the MePhoneX, Trophy was one of the victims, his inanimate body being labeled as "Sore Loser", foreshadowed from a flashback early on where MePhone draws Trophy with a label that reads "Sore Loser."

In "Objects in Mirror", Trophy, like every other contestant (except Bot), was sent to the MeAfterlife within MePhone4 following his deletion. He was summoned to where Suitcase and Box were to witness the plan to escape, being to cross the finish line. He succeeds in doing this, seemingly on his own. Trophy appears alongside MePhone4 in Tissues' vision as he tries to cross the line, being seen laughing at Tissues with MePhone. Trophy is then seen witnessing Steve Cobs' death and reacts with sadness about MePad's death, stating how Knife was missing the moment. However, upon discovery that Knife had actually turned into a ghost stuck in Purgatory Mansion, Trophy makes the ironic claim that he now feels like a jerk for thinking Knife was intentionally missing everything, to which Knife once again corrects him and calls him a jock.

Trivia[]

  • Trophy is the only contestant to have a confirmed middle name: Horseplay. However, he gave the nickname to himself to pump up for the competition.
  • Trophy is currently roommates with Tissues in Hotel OJ, according to the Inanimate Insanity website.
  • Trophy is one of the 3 season 2 contestants that does not appear in a season 2 thumbnail, with the other two being Tissues and Nickel.
