Together we will travel through the universe, attack countless planets and watch them burn. Board my ship and prepare for take-off and I will prepare for my planet destroying rampage.
~ Trypticon's offer to the Dinobots to join him.

Trypticon is a major antagonist of Transformers: Cyberverse, serving as the main antagonist of the TV film, The Immobilizers. He is a dinosaur-like mechanical Titan that is the boss of the Mercenaries, who has Soundblaster to lead fatal heists on many planets and loot them that result on the planet's inevitable destruction. He is the archenemy of the Dinobots.

He was voiced by Billy Bob Thompson, who also voiced Starscream in the same series.

Appearance[]

Trypticon is a Titan that takes the shape of a dinosaur with a grey & purple colour scheme. In his face, he has a yellow forehead peace, a scanner above his snout, a silver horn on top of it, and has a moth filled with sharp teeth. He also has a green chest piece with the Mercenary logo. His optis are also yellow in colour, and has yellow stickers in the side of his forearm and of his upper body, while also having some yellow lights attached to him, mostly at the joints. He also has what is possibly his wings on his back, or a jetback, with purple laser guns mounted on the top. While generally huge, for a Titan, he is pretty small compared to Iaconus and Croaton. He also has a mechanical tail he uses for combat and to balance himself.

Personality[]

Trypticon is a ruthlessly sadistic crime lord, having enjoyed the destruction of multiple planets he is responsible for. He also seems pretty friendly and affable, always speaking politely and be what he claims a "firm, yet fair employer who expects nothing less than dedicated employees" to his minions considering they were good help.

Like Soundblaster and unlike the rest of his team, he doesn't plan on fooling around at any opportunity. However, the moments his minions fail, Trypticon reveals he only views them as pawns and calls them all useless despite helping him in countless raids and destruction of multiple other planets beforehand, leaving them trapped and plans to leave them die on Cybertron after he defeats them. He also is willing to give his enemies a chance to join him, such as with the Dinobots, which fails.

After that, Trypticon then even congrats his enemies when they manage to be a good fighter, but as the battle continues on, Trypticon reveals himself to be a more and more of an uncontrollable and destructive beast, ultimately being his downfall.

Biography[]

Past[]

Barely anything is known about Trypticon's past. All that is known is that Trypticon is the boss of the Mercenaries operations. He has Soundblaster lead multiple raids, having them freeze time over the planets. Due to time being frozen, the planet's would then burn and collapse, leading to it's destruction and the death of all it's people, which Trypticon enjoys greatly. He then sent the Mercenaries to Cybertron to steal and allow Soundblaster to settle his grudge with Soundwave

The Immobilizers[]

Trypticon appears in the middle of the film, being reported by Soundblaster that they have gotten their big score, to which Trypticon replies to leave some for him also. After Soundblaster and the Rest of the Mercenaries are trapped by the Dinobots following their battle, Trypticon then emerges from the ship, to which he keeps an affable and comedic facade by saying he thinks himself more of the Mercenaries' firm, yet fair employer that expects them to do their best while ending up smiling, leaving Grimlock confused. He then walks up to Soundblaster and then immediately fires his team, saying he will leave them to burn when he destroys Cybertron. When Bee Sting tries asking him another chance by telling that he removes the muck from his toes, Trypticon breathes fire at the box they are trapped in as a threat to silence them before calling them all useless. He then makes an offer to the Dinobots to join him due to liking how they look, planning to have them help him attack countless planets and watch them burn. He then commands them to board his ship to prepare for taking off, planning to commence his destruction of Cybertron soon. When Grmlock spoke for them that they will not join him, Trypticon then engages in a fight with them, to which Trypticon threatens them. They then combine together to prepare for their battle, which Trypticon calls cute.

He then breathes fire at them, breaking their time immobilizer ray shield and burning them, before they absorb the heat and fire it at Trypticon's arm, impressing him. He then plans on stomping them, to which Trypticon hits them with his tail in fury, causing them all to seperate. Grimlock then uses his dinosaur form to bite his tail, causing him to scream in pain and shoot lasers, swinging his tail in pain and unintentionally freeing his former minions, befor eblasting them with lasers, leaivng them nearly disintegrated and disintegrating Soundblaster's legs. He then manages to get Grimlock and Slug off his tail. The dinobots combine and then go through the space between his legs, planning to attack him from the back by hopping onto his tail but Trypticon predicted this and shot missiles at them. He then knocks them off his tail, to which they plan on using the throw to impale Trypticon at his neck, seemingly killing him.

However Trypticon survived, being more angry than ever, to which he fires all his weapons at random trying to kill them. When Swoop finds the Time Immobilizing Ray, Trypticon fires a missile at her, leading them to combine and with Trypticon firing at them. When they get the blaster, planning to stomp them to death before continuing with his municidal plans, but before he could, the Dinobots blasted the ray at him, leaving him frozen in time forever.

The Perfect Decepticon[]

Trypticon's frozen body would be used to create Trypticon Plaza, a place where people can shop. It would've been presumably destroyed in the attacks from the Perfect Decepticons, thus rendering Trypticon's fate unknown.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being humungous in general, he is the smallest Titan in the series. Even despite this, he is the biggest antagonist of the series
  • Despite being the main villain, he only appeared in the final 10 minutes of "The Immobilizers".
