Tsaindorcus Vaision, also known as the Platinum Dragon Lord, is the main antagonist of Overlord. He is one of the Dragon Lords of the New World who seeks to eliminate the "Players" from YGGDRASIL, deeming them to be dangerous threats to the world he guards. He is also originally one of the Thirteen Heroes that fought against the chaotic evil in their world.
He is voiced by Jin Yamanoi in Japanese, and by R. Bruce Elliott in English.
Overview[]
Tsaindorcus is an incredibly ancient Dragon Lord who has lived for more than 600 years, being formerly one of the Thirteen Heroes, and the son of the legendary Dragon Emperor, said to predate the arrival of the Six Gods who uplifted humanity. He is one of the few beings to know that the New World has been invaded by unimaginably powerful outsiders from another dimension known as YGGDRASIL and attempts to slay them all before they can ever harm him.
Personality[]
In spite of his antagonistic role to Ainz Ooal Gown, Tsaindorcus is not an entirely malicious being. He is a benevolent and protective being, who is respectful towards his kin and colleagues. His grudge towards Ainz is primarily motivated by the hatred towards all YGGDRASIL players' influence towards the New World, believing them to be invaders that threaten the New World.
Tsaindorcus has been shown to be a hypocrite however as, despite being a protector to the New World, he does not concern himself with the actual conflicts that occur within the various nations and kingdoms. The only time he truly involves himself is when a YGGDRASIL player is involved, otherwise, he pays no mind to it. In addition, he is willing to resort into violence and bloodshed, in order to serve his greater picture and fulfil his goal, even if it means having to betray and murder his own allies.
Tsaindorcus has also expressed his dislike towards his father, believing him to be the reason why the YGGDRASIL players continue to invade their world and seeing him as someone corrupted by absolute power. Yet simultaneously, he has no issues with the other Dragon Lords raiding lands and taking over kingdoms. Even before the arrival of the YGGDRASIL players, he and the other Dragon Lords had absolute control of the world, due to their immense power. Even so, however, he does acknowledge the damage that he and his brethren have caused upon others, leading him to feel that he does not truly deserve forgiveness.
