Tsubasa Kurosawa, also known by his alias, Kazuhiho Serizawa, is a major antagonist in the Like a Dragon (Ryū ga Gotoku, formerly known as Yakuza in the west) franchise.
He is a major antagonist of the Yakuza Saga, being the main antagonist of the 2012 beat-em-up drama video game Yakuza 5 and one of the overarching antagonists of its 2016 sequel Yakuza 6: Song of LIfe . He is also one of the overarching antagonists of the Like A Dragon Saga.
At first, he appeared to be a popular detective in Osaka, Japan, trying to stop an impending war between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance, but it is later revealed that he's actually the seventh chairman of the Omi Alliance. His goal is to kill off the major leaders of the two large Yakuza organizations and have his son, Masato Aizawa, to take control of both the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance.
Even after his demise, his actions impacted the Yakuza Saga, as killing off or imprisoning most of the Tojo Clan members led to being replaced by people who didn't believe in the old ways (mainly Katsumi Sugai and Takumi Someya) and paved the way to the Tojo Clan's expulsion from Kamurocho and eventually, their disbandment.

Tsubasa Kurosawa is a ruthless pragmatist best defined by his cunning, resentment towards “charismatic” yakuza members, and paranoia towards his lack of a legacy. Codes of honor and loyalty mean nothing to him, and he’s shown to be more than willing to dispose of anyone he considers to be standing on his way, even allies he himself appointed, such as Watase.
Kurosawa’s rise from bottom-tier family soldier to the position of Chairman of the Omi Alliance was marked by betrayal, backstabbing, and sheer brutality. Even as he reached the top, he felt unhappy, as he saw charismatic and principled yakuza members ascend to high positions purely on their personalities and forces of will. His resentment towards those men is such that he considers any “decent” yakuza members to be useless to him, and thus worthy of being removed. He’s also shown to be sadistic, best exemplified by his smile when Kiryu realizes part of his plan was to have Haruka assassinated.
Despite claiming to be business-minded, another large motivator behind Kurosawa’s actions in Yakuza 5 is his fear of not having a legacy to speak of, a fear sparked by his terminal lung cancer diagnosis. As a result, he executes the conspiracy told via the game’s storyline to hand over both the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance to his son, Masato Aizawa. The extent of the conspiracy - spanning several cities and involving Kurosawa personally orchestrating several events - also reveals the lengths of his cunning to see his goals through.
