Tsukumogami are monsters created by Dark Shadow from inanimate objects that have been imbued with life and antagonists in GoGo Sentai Boukenger.
They are created by Gekkou of Illusions performing the "Tsukumogami Transformation Jutsu" on old objects, which have come to be imbued with a "life force" through their long existence. They can be made to grow into a giant form called an Ogami after their defeats through Gekkou performing the "Ogami Transformation Jutsu" to enlarge them.
History[]
The first Tsukumogami to be sent out against the Boukengers was Jougami, who was created by Gekkou to assist Shizuka of the Wind in stealing the "Blades of the Three Kingdoms" Precious.
The next Tsukumogami to be created and sent out was Takumigami, whose purpose was to obtain the Imperial Pearl and process the blueprints embedded in it to manufacture the "Bio Panzer" tank.
Yaiba of Darkness and Shizuka would later enlist the services of Tsukumogami Kawazugami to obtain the Nami Uemono dolls.
After stealing one of the Pipes of Hamelin, Dark Shadow created Kanadegami to broadcast its signal and lure away children before transforming them into yellow crystal balls, which could be used to obtain an even greater power.
Seeking to turn BoukenYellow against her teammates in order to harness her abilities for their own ends, Dark Shadow created Nendogami to pretend to be Natsuki's sister and to brainwash her into resenting her teammates.
As part of a plan to create a Dark Shadow animal unit, Gekkou created Zukangami and tasked Shizuka with using him to target select humans and transform them into animals.
Gekkou would later attempt to create a new Tsukumogami to steal the Fruit of Knowledge for Dark Shadow, but due to Shizuka accidentally tripping and spilling garbage on the objects Gekkou intended to use, Akutagami was created instead.
As a front for their next operation to obtain a Precious, Dark Shadow opened up an Adventurer's School and created Shirubegami to be its teacher.
After obtaining and arranging a sale of the "God's Head" Precious, Dark Shadow created Mamorigami to pose as the artifact at one of two decoy locations in order to distract the Boukengers from the real site of the sale.
