Tsurumi is a minor antagonist in the Shiki franchise.
He was the assistant monk at the temple, and was frequently seen riding a motorcycle.
He was voiced by Yasuaki Takumi in the Japanese version, and by Newton Pittman in the English dubbed version.
Biography[]
After rising as a Shiki, he remorsefully killed to survive, and assisted the Kirishiki Family like the rest of his kind.
Death[]
During the hunt against the Shiki, Tsurumi was hiding in a small house in the mountains. After a group of villagers broke in, they slammed him into a fence causing it to break. He got burned by the sunlight, then axed by the mob of hunters while vulnerable, before finally getting staked. He died in front of his former friend from the temple, right as he arrived to investigate the commotion.
Trivia[]
- His death is among the most brutal in the series, alongside Megumi Shimizu's and Nao Yasumori's.
- His role is more fleshed out in the novel series, as he is a minor character in the manga and anime.
