Tulzscha is a minor antagonist in the Cthulhu mythos made by H.P. Lovecraft, which was featured in the short story The Festival and was expanded on in the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game. It is an Outer God that appears as a colossal pillar of green flame.
Biography[]
Tulzscha is a blazing pillar of green flame that spends its time dancing at the court of Azathoth with its lesser Outer Gods. It is annually summoned to Earth by an unnamed cult for their "Yule-rite". This "Yule-rite" entails Tulzscha penetrating Earth to the core and then erupting from beneath.
When summoned by the cult, Tulzscha manifests in a cavern and remains stationary while the cult perform dark rites involving indescribable bat-creatures. The exact details are unknown, as the narrator of the story is driven insane by witnessing the start of the ritual and jumps into a river, therefore never learning precisely what the Yule-rite entails.
