Twilight, also known as Towa Akagi, is the daughter of Dyspear (though really she wasn’t), the princess of Dys Dark, and a supporting antagonist in Go! Princess Pretty Cure. She uses her own black Dress Up Key, which she inserts into one of the Three Musketeers' locks to increase the power of the Zetsuborgs they summon.
She was voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro.
Biography[]
When Towa was a young princess in the Hope Kingdom, she has dreamed of becoming a Grand Princess. Though her brother Prince Kanata told her how only the Princess Pretty Cure could become Grand Princesses, that did not stop her from trying. Then one day Dyspear lured her into a forest of despair, and made an offer that she could help her become the Grand Princess. She accepts her offer, not knowing that she was going to become a pawn in Dyspear's plan to conquer Hope Kingdom. Dyspear actually trapped her inside the Forest of Despair as part of that plan. And then, the citizens of Hope Kingdom fell into despair because of Towa going missing, making it easier to Dyspear to take over as she fed on that despair. Dyspear then decided to brainwash her and let her assume the name Twilight. Later, when she entered Dyspear's castle, she began fighting Princess Pretty Cure with Shut and Lock. When she first met Princess Pretty Cure with Shut, she used black as her Dressing Key for Shut, who took Mr. Nishikido's dream, turned it off, and summoned a new Zetsuborg for the power she received. During a hard fight, Princess Precure managed to destroy Zetsuborg and she and Shut withdrew. Since then, she has always given Shut and Lock the power to summon the Zetsuborgs. She later fought Princess Pretty Cure herself, but she lost when Cure Flora received the third Dress Up Key from the book that inspired her dreams. She then set out and found the fourth Pretty Cure Perfume, and she used it to defeat Princess Pretty Cure. And when Princess Pretty Cure and Prince Kanata arrived at the castle, Kanata immediately knew her as his missing little sister, but she did not know her own big brother because she has always been in the power of Dyspear. And when she used the Pretty Cure Perfume he found, she became new-looking, and she began to fight against them. The battle was fierce, but she managed to free her from Dyspear's control, and then Princess Pretty Cure took her to safety when Kanata was left behind. Shortly thereafter, she became Princess Pretty Cure, named Cure Scarlet, and she now fought to defend other dreams with other Princess Pretty Cure, and since then she and the other Princess Cures have now been friends.
