The Twitchy Scientist is a minor character in the animated series The Amazing World of Gumball. He's a very infrequently appearing pig mad doctor/scientist in the town of Elmore; needlessly to say, you do not want to end up as his patient.
He is voiced by Simon Lipkin.
Appearance[]
He is a sickly-looking, pale humanoid pig with wrinkles on his face. He has greasy black hair with a purple stripe and narrow pink eyes with thin, vertical pupils. His teeth are pointed and yellowed, and he has black hooves. He is dressed in a white medical coat (green In "The Wish").
Biography[]
In "The Saint," Gumball and Darwin start saying "Yes" to everything to honor Alan's agreeableness. They agree to participate in one of the Twitchy Scientist's experiments. He offers them two serums from "the back of the fridge" and asks if they'd prefer injections over drinking them. They say yes. Both boys become severely ill and mutated afterward, as Gumball gets a swollen tongue and facial warts, while Darwin turns into a tree-like creature with mushrooms breathing green dust. The scientist files it under "Never try this again." He appears again when Tony needs help from a doctor, mentioning he got fired from Elmore Hospital.
In "The Compilation," he sings "Weird Like You And Me."
In "The Wish," he is shown trying to leave Elmore when Ms. Simian wants to, as it's citizens apparently aren't comfortable with his "involuntary head transplants."
Personality[]
The twitchy scientist is reckless and amoral in his mad experiments, showing little regard for their consequences. He injects Gumball and Darwin with mutating "serum" he found in his fridge just to see what happens, and conducts "head transplants" without consent. He believes Elmore isn't ready for his ways, not that there is error in them. Despite this, he's friendly and not truly malicious, and did ask the boys for permission. He also speaks eccentrically where he randomly squeals his words like a pig (appropriately).
