Linda Baldwin: It's not my favorite choice for a bodyguard but oh well.
Carter: No need to worry he knows who's his masters are. That's not all, i packed in a special little present so if worst comes to worst tall, dark, and ugly he's ground zombie meat. After all weapons are only so good in as much as you use them, what a masterpiece.
~ Carter and Linda Baldwin talking about Tyrant R.

Tyrant R, also known as T-0400TP, is a modified clone of the mass-produced T-103 Tyrant model that was stored in the Umbrella R&D Center and one of the several Tyrants that were unleashed during the Raccoon City Destruction Incident. He served as the secondary antagonist of Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 and as a minor antagonist in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.

Personality[]

Tyrant R is persistent and lacks emotions like the other tyrants and also very calm. However, despite his brutish appearance, he is shown to be intelligent and quite self-aware. Tyrant R is also rebellious towards to his creators, as seen he attack Carter for taking control of him and was presumably waiting for a perfect opportunity to do it.

Biography[]

Creation[]

Tyrant R was known to be Umbrella's first attempt at controlling a Tyrant equipped through cybernetic components. After his creation, he was stored in the Umbrella R&D Center in Raccoon City, waiting for his activation.

Carter and Linda watching Tyrant R exterminated the Hunter Rs.

In October 1st, 1998, Tyrant R was activated by the Umbrella scientist Carter to eliminate the Hunter Rs roaming around the facility, Tyrant R killed most of them after his activation. The survivors encounter Tyrant R in the facility but was focused on his mission, almost nearly ignored them. Later, the tyrant was soon revealed be self-aware of everything's going on around him and sneak behind Carter, knocked him out cold then stomps the AT1521 sample and uppercuts Linda Baldwin out of the way, Tyrant R killed Carter before he could have use the detonator device against him. Shortly after he kills Carter, Tyrant R changes his targets from killing Hunter Rs, to murder the survivors of Raccoon City.

Tyrant R transformed into his super form.

Tyrant R chases the survivors through the ruined part of the city, but suddenly, he stops his tracks and mutating into his super tyrant form and ready to attack them all. The survivors manages to defeat and escape from the tyrant, for now. Tyrant R later arrived at the highway overpass, but was grabbed and absorbed by Nyx. After Nyx was destroyed, Tyrant R survives and escapes.

The End of Tyrant R[]

Right after he escaped Nyx, another fleeing survivor known as Ada Wong encounter the tyrant and battled against each other, Tyrant R was weakened due to Nyx recently, so Ada defeated him easily. Moments after Ada escapes the Raccoon City, Tyrant R was destroyed by missiles along with the city itself.

Powers and Abilities[]

Quick, but predictable!
~ Ada Wong.

As a modified Tyrant T-103 model, Tyrant R is a formidable B.O.W. of the Umbrella Corporation and one of the most dangerous tyrants in the series due to his display of intelligence and self-awareness, but inferior to Nemesis T-Type.

Powers[]

  • Superhuman strength: Tyrant R possesses immense superhuman strength, being capable to punch through brick walls and knocks out both Carter and Linda at good distance.
  • Superhuman durability: As part of the tyrant series, Tyrant R is extremely resilient. While in his mutated form, being able to survived heavy weaponries like rocket launchers and grenade launchers, his rocky appearance says it. Compare his durability to his tyrant brethren, Tyrant R is among one of the toughest tyrant and B.O.W. ever known in the franchise.
  • Superhuman speed: Tyrant R possesses the ability to outrun survivors with his superhuman speed. In his mutated form, his speed enhanced to a whole new level in during his fight with Ada, before he attacks, an white aura surrounds the tyrant then charges at full speed before swing his claws to her. Ada Wong herself commented the tyrant is fast, but is predictable.
  • Regeneration healing: Like other tyrants, possesses regenerative healing ability, capable to quickly recover from being knocked out by the survivors and still continues to chase after them.
  • Near-human intelligence: Despite being a killing machine for Umbrella, Tyrant R has possesses an amount of near-human intelligence and self-awareness unlike most of Umbrella's infected beasts. Like T-00, he will open doors much like the same way humans would do. He knows everything in his surroundings, he ignores the survivors when they enter the facility because he was focusing on his mission of killing the Hunter Rs, unless they get on the way. And waiting for an opportunity to murder Carter due to him having the detonator device to control him.

Weakness[]

  • Exposed heart: When he's at his super form, his heart on the right side was left exposed, making him vulnerable to his enemies.
