Tyson Williams was born into a blue-collar family. Save for his parents divorcing when he was 10, he had a reasonably ordinary childhood. He graduated from college but was unable to find a job his fine arts degree suited. Williams eventually found work as a security guard and was eventually promoted to head of security of a department store.
Williams's glamorous career came to an abrupt end after he was thrown into prison for five years under the trumped-up charge of aggravated assault after beating an armed thief into unconsciousness. Coming out unstable, jaded and immoral, Williams moved to New York and became a private detective, often serving as an illegal bounty hunter whose clients ranging from the Mafia to major drug manufacturers.
Williams was eventually hired to track down English con artist Ljudmila Vetrova. After much effort, Williams finally cornered Vetrova. Rather than turning her in, he decided to make a deal with her: in exchange for him letting her go, she would teach him all he needs to know about covering up his tracks. With the help of programmer Steven Bradley, he and Vetrova founded Haven Island, a beach resort doubling as an identity-altering service for criminals. Williams also began a relationship with Vetrova and they lived in a villa near the resort.
However, Williams' relationship with Vetrova slowly soured, apparently due to him becoming increasingly abusive towards her and surveilling her constantly. She subsequently stopped living in the villa with him and began plotting to embezzle HAVEN with Bradley, a plot that involves stealing a USB drive with unspecified information. Before they could do so, however, Agent 47 arrived and assassinated the three of them so his colleague Olivia Hall could hack into their computer system and receive the names of the Partners.
Personality[]
Williams is shown to be paranoid, irritable, and reclusive, staying on the opposite end of the island and fretting over Vetrova's schemes.
Trivia[]
Vetrova implies that Williams became abusive towards her, even toward her lover Pietro who is apparently the only one she is fully honest to. In a phone call with Pietro, she calls Williams a swine and seethes about what he put her through, suggesting that Williams may have been emotionally, physically and/or sexually abusive towards her. In addition, while Vetrova usually sends proxies to seduce her targets, it is possible that Williams manipulated or coerced her into personally seducing their old clients early into their career.
