Wrongful executions are deaths for crimes that aren’t too severe, Masha was just a civilian that did nothing wrong. Tywin knew that, he was just being petty. Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 20:5920:59, 20 May 2025 Jaxnys Message Wall contribs m 43,759 bytes +74 Fair enough. But what about Masha's execution? In the first book Tywin had her hanged by his direct order. Also 20 of his own soldiers were executed by hanging in the show. He's a high lord. He's got the authority to execute people on King Joffrey's name. These acts were done under the cruel law. The random people in the Riverlands might be just mass murder and war crimes, but Robb wasn't crowned when Masha's sentence happened, and Tywin's own subordinate were killed under his order in the show. • curprev 20:0920:09, 20 May 2025 Jaxnys Message Wall contribs 43,712 bytes −84 That applies to the torture as well. Again, Gregor and all the other vassals' power to torture people for questioning during the war was given by Tywin. We need to remember the crimes committed against the minor and/or nameless characters too. Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 20:0720:07, 20 May 2025 Jaxnys Message Wall contribs 43,796 bytes −6 During the entire story? In the Riverlands. He gave leave to his knights to indiscriminately execute "traitors" (aka random smallfolk), and mere suspects of being Beric's allies. That applies to the show too, "we hanged 20 men last night". You can even find one of his notable victims being from wrongful execution (Masha Heddle for "failing" to oppose Tyrion's abudction). Tags: Manual revert Source edit

  • curprev 03:2003:20, 2 December 2024 Jaxnys Message Wall contribs 42,798 bytes +5 The throne was never "permanently" secured to his grandsons. The bastard allegations were still disputing their claims and denying them as Baratheons. Joffrey and Tommen's claims were still threatened by Stannis and his forces, who never yielded. Something constantly repeated by Tywin, Cersei and others in the books, and also Jaime saying in the show "the war is not over as long as Stannis lives." Then Euron in the books was already in Westeros, threatening the grandsons' place. Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 03:1003:10, 2 December 2024 Jaxnys Message Wall contribs 42,793 bytes −12 Tywin did manage to rule most of the realm. But rule all the Seven Kingdoms, and "with an iron first"? Nah. The North mostly stayed a destabilized mess under Tywin's rule, the Iron Islands remained defiant and independent (yes, they are in the Seven Kingdoms), and Dorne was never truly ruled by Tywin. The Vale was "officially" ruled by Tywin, but nominally. Tag: Source edit
