U2 is a robot created by Neo-Guild and an antagonist in episode 14 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
He is portrayed by Masato Gunji.
Biography[]
U2 was sent by Neo-Guild to plant bombs around the city. He was discovered by Janperson and the two engaged each other in a gun fight, with U2 getting injured and losing his memory.
U2 was later found by a boy named Masahiko. Janperson continued his pursuit of U2 and managed to find him, but Masahiko defended him from Janperson. Seeing Masahiko's kindness made U2 realize the evil of Neo-Guild's cause and agree to help Janperson find the last bomb he planted. Janperson hacked U2's memories to locate the bomb, but at the same time Neo-Guild sent another assassin robot, Dollman, to take them both out.
Janperson managed to destroy Dollman, but one of his hands remained intact and shot at Masahiko, leading U2 to give his own life to shield Masahiko from the laser beam. Severely damaged, U2 expressed his wish that he had been built for good instead of evil before dying.
