The Ultromflomites are an evolved and more dangerous offshoot of the Gromflomites, introduced in the Rick and Morty episode "Valkyrick" (Season 8, Episode 2).
Biography[]
Engineered and mutated with a virus by Fantabulous to be superior in strength, aggression, and possibly intelligence, they represent a next level threat beyond the already formidable Gromflomite military forces. Their origin is not fully explained, but they appear to be the result of biological enhancement or experimentation, possibly linked to the spores referenced in the episode, which resemble the Super Soldier Serum from the Marvel Universe. The Ultromflomites are distinguished by their physical transformation and increased combat capabilities. In the episode, one is seen emerging from or transforming from a standard Gromflomite, indicating they might not be a separate species but rather an upgraded form. They engage in brutal combat with Rick, Space Beth, and members of the Defiance, contributing to significant casualties on both sides.
Their presence in the episode highlights the ongoing arms race within the universe's various militarized factions. While the Gromflomites have long been antagonists in the series, the Ultromflomites represent a new chapter in their evolution, one that suggests a growing desperation or ambition for power. Despite their strength, several Ultromflomites are killed during the episode, the Ultraflomites are weak if hit in the head and also show a low intellect.
