Sophie, also know by her serial killer identity Uncle SCOOBI, is a supporting character in season 1 and the secondary antagonist of season 2 in the HBO Max animated series, Velma.
She is the owner and head waitress of Spooner's Malt Shop and Aman Dinkley's new girlfriend, following the disappearance of the latter's wife, Diya Dinkley. Before getting married, Sophie and Aman had a baby together, who they named Amanda. Velma Dinkley hates Sophie because she's not her real mom and she resents Aman for moving on from his old wife so quickly.
She is voiced by Melissa Fumero.
Biography[]
Backstory[]
Sophie was a young hot female officer in the military and she was assigned the job of working as a waitress at Spooner's Malt Shop, so that she could observe meddling kids. She watched dog videos of dogs who talk with buttons. She saw Diya reading a book on Edna Purdue's work and took a photo of it so that she could make her own talking dog that meddling kids loved. Sophie disguised herself in a dog mask and a big jacket and called herself "Uncle SCOOBI" so that she could convince the military to make Scrappy-Doo, which ended up being a bad idea. This got Sophie abandoned. She also had to cover up all his murders so that nobody would know Project SCOOBI had anything to do with it and make the public think it was just a bunch of witches.
When Sophie later found out that Dr. Edna Purdue was still alive and in Daphne's body, she followed her to her old house and snuck into her laboratory so that she and Scrappy could force her to make a deal with them; this being them giving her a hot female teenage body if she helped her and Scrappy escape.
Undercover Life[]
Sophie poses as the head waiter of Spooner's Malt Shop and also works part-time as an OnlyFans thot. Sophie started dating Aman a while after the latter's wife, Diya, went missing, and moved into his house with him, much to the disapproval of Aman's daughter, Velma. Ever since day one, Velma hated Sophie for attempting to replace her mom and resented her father for moving on so quickly. Velma would treat Sophie like absolute shit.
Sophie would also have sex with Aman and get pregnant with a baby. When the baby was born, they named her Amanda, and she would become an official member of the family.
When Diya returned to the family, she was not happy to see that Sophie had replaced her as the new woman of the house but unfortunately for her, Aman had already moved on and was now dating Sophie. With that, Diya was kicked out and Sophie continued to live with Aman.
Aman later proposed to Sophie so that they could finally get married at the same time William was going to get remarried to Diya.

Sophie was caught by Velma on her wedding day, after she discovered that she was SCOOBI.
Appearance[]
Sophie is an adult Latina woman with dark brunette hair that she usually wears in a ponytail. Her casual outfit is a baggy tan wool sweater, navy jeans, and brown boots. Her work outfit is a pink waitress uniform.
Personality[]
Sophie is a basic "wine mom", who tries to be down and hip with the younger generation, only for her attempts to fall flat on account of her not knowing how to use modern day lingo properly. Her hobbies include photography, modeling, yoga, and occasionally hiking. All of which are things that Velma constantly insults her for. Despite how mean Velma is to her, Sophie still makes an attempt to be nice to her and become friends with her soon-to-be stepdaughter. Sophie is a seemingly nice lady, who is actually a hardened serial killer deep down.

- Sophie's last name was never revealed in the series.
- She is the second revealed killer in the second season of Velma series after Victoria Jones since season one.
