The Undead are one of beings in mythology, legend, and/or fiction that are dead but behave as if they were alive. A common example of an undead being is a corpse reanimated by supernatural forces, either through the deceased's own life force or that of another entity (such as a demon). The undead may be ghosts, skeletons, vampires and zombies. They are prevalent in the belief systems of most cultures and appear in numerous works of fantasy and horror fiction. The term can also refer to non-supernatural cases of reanimation, including early experiments and future sciences like chemical brain preservation and cryonics.
Description[]
There are two different versions of the undead species. They are either incorporeal spirits without any physical body like ghosts, wraiths and will-o'-the-wisps, or they appear as corporal creatures like zombies, vampires and mummies. Some type of the undead are present in the belief of most cultures and they also appear in many horror fiction and fantasy works. The term of the undead is also used to describe real life attempts at resurrect the dead with the help of science.
