The United States Military are the main antagonists of the Mater's Tall Tales short film "Unidentified Flying Mater." They are a group of scientists and soldiers who kidnapped the UFO Mator to experiment on him.

History

A few hours after the sentient UFO Mator made landfall, the United States Military sent Captain Munier and two unnamed helicopters to kidnap him. The helicopters brought Mator back to Parking Area 51, where scientists attempted to experiment on him. Mator tried speaking to the scientists, which greatly confused them. They brought in Dr. Schleppenwagen, actually Mater in a poor disguise, who released their alien captive.

Furious, the bases entire staff tried to chase the two down, though they soon came face to face with the Mama Ship. The Mama ship rescued the Mater and Mator, leaving the military dumbfounded.

Trivia

• One of their unseen scientists is named Dr. Schleppenwagen, whose surname is the German word for tow truck, an obvious reference to how Mater disguised himself as the doctor.
