Alasdair, also known as the Untouched Inquisitor, is a major antagonist in the 2016 video game Salt and Sanctuary.
Biography[]
Alasdair was a zealot who saw sin everywhere and forsakes in cleansing it. Coming to the Dome of Light, he condemned it sinful and sought to "sacrifice" the population so that those "untouched" could flourish. The First Lamb was the temple's congregation, who he massacred feeling no guilt or prejudice for them. Their unrested souls became the Whispermen that haunt the chapel, cursed to roam the halls forever. The Second Lamb was Laineia, the Dome's Lady of Light. The Third and final Lamb was Kinoa, Laineia's pet hippogriff. Unlike the first two Lambs, Alasdair did not kill Kinoa and instead experimented on her, transforming her into a bound and broken thrall, forced into following his orders and instructed to kill anyone who enters. With nobody else to stand in his way, the Untouched Inquisitor appoints himself as the arbitrator of the newly established Dome of the Forgotten.
The player encounters the Untouched Inquisitor in the Dome of the Forgotten, and the first boss to be fought in the area. He is resistant to holy weapons, but very weak to fire and arcane weapons. He is an airborne boss, forcing the player to jump to hit him or wait until he approaches the ground. He attacks by swinging his pincers towards the ground, including attacks where four of them hit different parts of the floor. These can be avoided by simply rolling away before he attacks or just staying out of range. He drops his ashes once the player defeats him.
