Hello guys it was only a matter of time before I decided to come back with another proposal. In fact I've never done one like this before which is a joint proposal but I'll try to keep it fresh.
What is the work?[]
The work is Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger which is part of the long running series called Super Sentai sister series to Kamen Rider and part of Toei's universe. Anyhow this installment is about an academy of ninjas training to compete against other schools but unfortunately they are struck by the evil space empire known as Jakanja. Their forces decimate most sects of ninjas leaving only three ninjas to defend Earth.
They become masked heroes and decide to beat the Jakanja plot after plot. As they sew tyranny there are many revelations that occur for the heroes including new allies and opponents. Soon there are two other villains turned heroes who join their cause and it is soon revealed what the villains are after. It is an evil entity that they seek to release and consume the universe. Now the fight really picks up and the heroes essentially learn what it means to be shinobi. Putting together their might they must triumph or Earth is ultimately doomed to be consumed in darkness.
Who are they?[]
Tau Zant[]
Disgusting Insect!!!
Tau Zant is the leader of Jakanja and is the one who gathered the greatest space ninjas that he laid his gaze upon. Soon after he trained them in dark arts and sent them across the universe to spread chaos and destruction in his wake. Above all though his ulterior motive wasn't just indiscriminate genocide but to free an evil entity known as the Evil Will. To do this he arrives to Earth and is ready to decimate any obstacle in his way.
Manmaruba[]
A sadistic parasite himself now isn't he?
Manmaruba is a psychic alien that was recruited by Tau Zant for his exceptional ability to read future events. Something the alien tyrant wanted to exploit so he could release the Evil Will and know where to search in the first place. Over the course of the series he goes from a harmless pupa to a dangerous adult who desires revenge against those who made a mockery of his visions.
Saandaru[]
I feel sorry for whoever messed with the sharks.
Saandaru is the sociopathic alien who sides with Tau Zant to destroy many planets and is the most dangerous member of Jakanja. When arriving he cares nothing for the other generals and is okay with slaughtering any of them. When it comes time for Tau Zant to ascend into a god he turns on him showing his selfish nature.
What have they done?[]
They collectively fit in so let me give the big picture.
Tau Zant was a creature that came into being out of mysterious circumstances. It realized "its purpose" was to destroy and rule the universe so it formed a ninja cult called Jakanja, gathering highly dangerous ninjas to serve under him. This included those who had ruinated and had the capability of laying waste from several to thousands of worlds. Embarking on a journey of conquest he dispersed Saandaru and Sakatakura while himself searching for the evil will.
He and his subordinates descended on Earth in 2002 and met resistance from several ninja schools which were stationed on the planet. Taking supreme sadism and delight, they took pleasure in killing almost of all the ninjas under Zant's orders. Only three ninjas and their master were able to survive and they were ready to oppose the space aliens. Observing their plans Tau Zant waited intently for results but was met only with failure.
Manmaruba who was just a pupa made a prediction that the last two spears or generals would be joining them soon. Two new ninjas named Ikkou and Ishu did indeed cooperate with them and fought the newly emerging Hurricanegers. Their names were the Gouraigers and while fighting the heroes they were more affable and kind than they first let on. Against Chuzubou they fought back and didn't want to be sacrificial lambs to resurrect the Evil Will. The villain then perished and Manmaruba was shaken by the experience. Meanwhile Tau Zant who had tortured Chuzubou ruthlessly was not pleased.
Manmaruba then developed into his adult form and decided to kill the Gouraigers out of spite for proving his predictions to be illegitimate. He injects a poisonous scorpion into Ikkou but fails to get Ishu in his first attack. The other Hurricangers get infected but are cured along with Ishu. Although Ikkou lies and harbors a cancer than slowly is tearing him apart. Manmaruba sadistically feels pleasure in this and monitors Ikkou constantly to see him dying ever quicker.
A point comes very he visits the man himself and taunts him warning his death will soon arrive beside him. Once the heroes realize the situation they are set on defeating Manmarruba and saving Ikkou. The Red Hurricanger Yousuke comes and begs for the exact same scorpion. Unbeknownst to the villain this was a ploy for a blood transfusion so they could remove the scorpion out of Ikkou. After doing so this leaves Manmaruba furious as his plans are in shambles.
Manmaruba though has one wild card as after his death in a duel to Ikkou he clones himself. This clone matures faster and puts collars on random people that are set to kill them on sight if Manmaruba decides that should be the course taken. Therefore it is used to torture innocents including the Hurricangers. This clone though soon metamorphizes into a feral beast after processing too much of the Evil Will's true essence. Ultimately they use the green Shurikenger's power to kill the psychic forever.
Saandaru soon arrives to replace the role of Manmaruba and works with Tau Zant. At the time of entering the scene he had destroyed several planets killing the entire populations in cold blood. Now he wishes to obtain sacred scrolls therefore uses his beasts in order to do this. Although during the time where Sargain one general with his robot is defeated Saandaru who had clashed with him meet face to face. Saandaru takes his sword and slew Sargain with no mercy.
Saandaru then lies about with Tau Zant to the other members of Jakanja and then they resume with the invasion. Later Saandaru commits his most horrid act by killing Gozen who had been guiding the enigmatic Shurikenger. This was done with a great sense of vileness as he needed a bow from her and had no remorse that she was gravely injured and later deceased. Sakatakura who treated him fairly well was also betrayed as his mask was ripped by the sadistic alien. All due to it being convenient for Saandaru.
Albeit he was betrayed at the end by Tau Zant who revealed he was set up before summoning the evil will and merging himself with the evil creature. Saandaru soon fought the Hurricanegers but was ultimately defeated by the Gouraigers. The Tau Zant Evil Will giant fought the Hurricangers and started an apocalypse on Earth as chaos began to reign. Putting together their heroism they defeated Tau Zant and the Will sending them to a blazing inferno.
Heinous Standard[]
Tau Zant, Manmaruba, and Saandaru all kill people, torture others, and bring destruction on a level no other villain can compare.
Chuzubou- Standard villain plots and only trapped the Gouraigers on an island and then in himself. Nothing compared to Manmaruba who with equally similar resources tortured Ikkou and did more than make him feel doubt. With Manmaruba Ikkou and later innocents were put towards the brink of death.
Furabijo and Wendinu- Standard Tokusatsu invasion and the latter destroyed only one planet. Sandaaru managed to destroy many planets along with Sakatukra.
Sargain- Only stole the heroes designs and terrorized the city. Nothing compared to the aforementioned candidates.
Sakatakura - While destroying many worlds Saandaru has done the exact same thing but several more heinous acts.
Evil Will- A standard doomsday villain with no other purpose than to bring destruction and chaos. In fact Tau Zant is the one who takes advantage of it.
Our three candidates stand out respectively due to resources. Tau Zant was in a mobile form but incited destruction nevertheless, Manmaruba had a short time to act but tortured and hurt many people, and Sandaaru killed more people with his bare fists.
Mitigating Factors[]
None. They collectively are all heartless monsters in their own right.
Tau Zant[]
Tau Zant made a cult to terrorize innocent worlds out of his own lust of power and was the cause of most death and destruction spread by Jakanja. In fact encouraging them to embrace darkness and overall strive to be the cruellest. Not to mention he didn't care about any of his comrades. When they failed he repeatedly tortured them as seen through Chuzubou and was perfectly fine with sacrificing Sakatakura or Sargain. Overall he manipulated others so he could at the end just contribute to death and destruction himself that he initially incited.
Manmaruba[]
While beginning as a harmless pupa that engaged in fun and wanted to make prophecies, quickly after being humiliated it turned into petty spite. Manmaruba would be willing to put Ikkou through great torture and see him suffer as a cruel penance for doing absolutely nothing wrong. On top of that he was glad enough to give scorpions to others in order to let them suffer out of amusement. Finally he cloned himself and posthumously led to others (this time complete innocents) the two brothers knew to be victimized solely to mentally mess with them even further. Showing the extent of his depravity.
Sandaru[]
Saandaru is an emotionless dark knight who has slaughtered millions from several planets out of sadism. To achieve his goals he will betray anyone from Tau Zant to Sargain seen by him slicing the latter on screen and revealing his initial enthusiasm for unity in Jakanja to be a farce. Truly he would even mercilessly harm Gozen who was in a defenseless position to obtain a precious object as well as driving Sakatura into a spasm of rage out of momentary compulsion displaying his psychopathy.
Final Verdict[]
Yes to these three deadly and sadistic ninjas above all Saandaru and Manmaruba.
