What is the work?[]
...Okay. How to explain this in a way that it would make some sense? The Devil Conspiracy is a laughably bad 2023 science fiction/horror film filmed in the Czech Republic of all places which is...a movie. I am serious when I say that the film's plot is wild and outlandish, not to the point where no one counts, of course, but it tosses a lot of insanity in the mix.
So, you all know about the Shroud of Turin, right? An artifact that claims to hold the image of the crucified Jesus Christ of Nazareth on it? Yeah, that one. Well, what if I were to tell you that some underground satanic cult hiding behind the front of a biotech firm is planning to harness the DNA and use that to make a devil baby that Satan could possess to bring about the apocalypse? And what if I added that the Archangel Michael would bodysurf into the body of a dying Vatican priest so now he had to close the gate to Hell?
It sounds crazy, I know, but bare with me.
Who is she? What has she done?[]
As the prophecy states, a wicked woman and the Beast of the Earth would free Satan from the pits of Hell by offering him a human vessel. So...this is kind of wonky but I'll do my best to explain. There is a biotech company run by a man named Doctor Laurent, a brilliant geneticist who had managed to make clones of past geniuses. But, they are really The Illuminati a satanic cult who are planning to steal the Shroud of Turin to use the DNA on the artifact to create the vessel that Satan could manifest in, a most blasphemous act as Liz herself puts it.
Liz, the head of the demonic cult, breaks into the exhibit containing the Shroud and decapitates a guard to use their head for the facial recognition software. Father Marconi, a priest, tries to stop her, but she fatally stabs him and kidnaps Laura/Lauren Milton, a student who was writing a thesis paper on the battle between good and evil. Lauren finds herself in a padded cage along with some other women who were kidnapped. They were all impregnated with the DNA of Christ and were then taken into a pit by the Beast of the Earth so that Lucifer could possess their bodies. But...it never ends well for any of them with all of the women prior getting burned out with Satan being apathetic to it.
Just to be an extra bit of a dick, Liz reveals that she knew that Lauren miscarried and takes jabs at her for the lulz. Lauren would turn out to be the perfect host for the Devil with the fallen angel wasting no time possessing her not realizing that he would be trapped inside of the child should it be conceived his cries to kill the child being drowned out.
To commemorate the occasion, and also to get rid of the evidence, Liz orders a "baptism" resulting in all the members of the cult getting gorily killed by the Beast of the Earth. The film ends with Liz getting away scot-free and looking for Satan unaware that he had been subsumed.
Mitigating factors? Freudian Excuse?[]
Nope. She is just a psychopathic satanic nut cultist who wants to watch the world burn and spit in the very face of God. She does express some envy towards Lauren for being the one to conceive the demon baby, but that is not mitigating.
Heinous standard[]
Will probably suggest Satan/Lucifer at some point if I decide to make his page as well. The Devil, like always, tries to pervert God's creation. He staged an attempted coup in Heaven to usurp God; attempted to possess and burned out several women; wants to bring Hell to Earth as the ultimate "F*ck you to Daddy."
With Liz, she is the leader of the cult who is responsible for overseeing the kidnapped women whom she has impregnated with the DNA of Christ only for them to be tossed aside as cannon fodder should they prove incompatible. That, and willingly assisting and abetting Satan in trying to bring the apocalypse on Earth as the ultimate blasphemy against God.
