What is the work?[]

Everyone knows the premise of Samurai Jack. A samurai gets magically displaced in time when he tries to slay the evil that is Aku. He ends up thousands of years in the future where the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness is the overlord of the Earth and also extended his will through the cosmos. The first four seasons, while having some extreme violence hidden under using oil as a euphemism, the show returns and airs on [adult swim] getting the darker and edgier treatment. Fifty years had passed since we last seen Jack who was still far from accomplishing his goal and is becoming clinically depressed. He later forms a bond (later falling in love with) Ashi, a member of an Aku-worshipping cult who is revealed to be the half-human-half-demon spawn of the Shogun of Sorrow.

Who is he? What has he done?[]

This total piece of work, the Dominator, is the main antagonist of the episode XCVI. He attacked a village of blue aliens, slaughtered the adults (aside from one), and kidnaps the children to experiment on them in a factory. When Jack and Ashi arrive to save the children, the Dominator reveals he had placed chips on the necks of his victims which are activated by an exact audio frequency which transforms them into psychotic, blood-thirsty monstrosities that attack Jack.

The Dominator then takes his sweet time electro-shocking Ashi (after saying some disturbing sexually-driven comments towards her). As he gloats about how the children were easy to manipulate, this enrages the former Daughter of Aku who fights back, delivers a beatdown to the Dominator, and tosses him on his own control panel killing him whilst causing the panel to explode.

Freudian Excuse? Mitigating factors?[]

Ha.

Heinous standard[]

Discounting Aku who rules the future with an iron fist and is a horrific sadist who does not count because of being demonstrably made of evil, let's get to the other lesser antagonists. Scaramouche the Merciless slaughters an entire village to draw Jack out in the fifth season. However, destroying or threatening villages is pretty common in the series with Aku doing it or other smaller-scale antagonists.

The High Priestess systematically puts her daughters through intense training from Hell where they are beaten by the (extra thicc) member of the Daughters of Aku along with being tortured such as by being pushed into burning embers before having them slaughter all the members of the cult aside from herself. Mother of the year, everyone.

As for the Dominator, he does have a combination of atrocities. He attacks and murders several citizens of a village, but he also puts the children through horrific experimentation where they are made into savage beasts through the right frequency. And he takes his sweet time to torture Ashi to death by shocking her with bolts of electricity.
