Was going to wait until the third special for Owl House season 3 finished airing, but since I had seen some mumbling about it on Discord, thought screw it, let's do this.
What is the work?[]
The Owl House. It goes without saying what this series is about since it is probably the most well-known of cartoons on Disney Channel which is slated to conclude in early Spring 2023 because Disney does not know what a good show is even if it smacks them in the face.
This character was introduced back in the second season being one of the reasons at the time for why King appeared to be the only Titan around. But as we are approaching the endgame, this character has hit some snags especially in how the major antagonists blow them out of the water.
Who is he? Why Doesn't He Count?[]
Bill the Elder is the leader of the Titan Trappers, who existed on the hand bone of the Titan far from Bonesborough. The Titan Trappers worship the Collector, whom they term the "Grand Huntsman" and through that have vowed to bring the Titan race to extinction. When he learns that King was the last Titan, Bill attempts to sacrifice him so that he could get "glory" from his god.
So...here is the thing. What got Bill up previously were the hundreds or thousands of bones of Titans that the Titan Trappers used to decorate their island including baby Titan skulls. However, the problem is how much can you lay on Bill's feet? He does mention about remembering how the last Titan sounded which could mean he was active back then, but as the show progressed into the third season, this casts doubt on how much agency Bill had in these attacks.
For all intents and purposes, I'm willing to believe that Bill did not kill the majority of Titans that make up the appearance of the Titan Trapper Island. Won't go into spoilers for "For the Future," but there is a plot point that casts doubt that Bill can be fully complicit in the purge.
