Alone is a 2007 Thai film that tells the story of a woman haunted by the spirit of her dead Siamese sister.

Who is Ploi and what did she do?

Ploi and his sister, Pin, were Siamese twins, born close together.  The two ended up becoming interested in a boy named Fin, however, he only corresponded to the love of one of them: Pin, which made Ploi jealous, angry and jealous, which was demonstrated when she squeezes a mouse until it bleeds.

When Pin made the decision to separate from his sister, Ploi strangled her to death. Having murdered his own sister, Ploi, moved by his desire for Fin, took his sister's place, posing as her. Therefore, she managed to deceive him, who married her thinking he was marrying his dead sister, Pin, while thinking that Ploi is the one who died. They went to live in Korea and lived there for several years until Pin (Ploi)'s mother fell ill, forcing them both to return to Thailand and Ploi comes face to face with her past again, and that's when she starts to be haunted by the ghost of her dead sister, who was murdered by her.

Throughout the film, we do not know that she is actually Ploi and she impersonates an affectionate woman, but in the end, she not only reveals that she is Ploi, not Pin, but also proves to be a psychopath. The mother of the twins knew the truth and told Fin that the twin who had survived and married him was not Pin, but Ploi.  In order to prevent this secret from coming to light, Ploi went to the hospital and killed his sick mother, turning off his devices and feeling some sadism, but not before Fin discovers the truth. Upon arriving home, Fin confronts his wife, who pretends to be crying because of her mother's death, and claims to know the whole truth, that Ploi took the place of Pin, and with that, decides to leave her, only to be hit on the head by her and pass out.  Upon waking up, Ploi reveals who he always was, no longer impersonating Pin and showing his true nature.

During all the time that she passed by her sister, Ploi also pretended her personality in order to deceive her husband, but now that the scam is over, she has shown herself who she really is: a jealous, jealous and psychoopathic yandere, tying and gagging Fin  on a chair and torturing him. Fin is diabetic and Ploi takes advantage of the fact that he needs to be on medication to torture him with the syringe, brutally shoving it into his arm and causing him a lot of pain while he is tied up. She throws the decapitated head of the house dog on his lap, which she eventually ran over. During the torture, the housekeeper arrives to fetch the cell phone she had forgotten and Ploi answers it, saying that she can get it.  Meanwhile, Fin escapes from the bonds and hides around the house, which has been soaked in gasoline (or some other flammable liquid by Ploi).

Ploi kills the maid and returns to the room to torture Fin, only to find that he has escaped.  She tells him to show up or set the house on fire. Fin comes out of nowhere and grabs Ploi, the two fight and she throws the lighter on the floor, setting the house on fire.  The two roll down the stairs and Ploi is temporarily unconscious while Fin, who is debilitated by the fall, crawls over to where he can get insulin to medicate himself.  In the living room, he comes across the lifeless body of the maid who went to get his cell phone and ended up being killed by Ploi.

When he was about to escape the burning house, Ploi resurfaces in front of him and attacks him with a lamp, the two fight and Ploi sees the ghost of his dead sister while fighting with him, getting scared and giving Fin the opportunity to take down a  bookcase on top of it and escape the house.  Meanwhile, Ploi stumbles upon his sister's ghost under the bookcase above her and screams as the fire takes over the place and she burns to death.

Mitigating Factors

It is evident that all this is more for the obsession of a yandere than love itself.  Ploi proved to be totally sociopathic, being willing to kill anyone who stands in his way. As a teenager, she freaked out and fell remorsefull after realizing that she killed her sister and was desperate for what she did, however, despite this being a redeeming quality that could disqualify her, it is worth mentioning that a lot of time has passed since then and that she may have lost her little redeeming quality that could disqualify it. Ploi, who was terrified of killing her sister in the past, in the present does not hesitate to kill her own mother, as well as anyone who gets in the way of her plans, nor does she feel remorse or regret about it, as she felt when she killed her sister. Villains can change over time and abandon their redeeming qualities, I believe this is the case with Ploi, who today has no problem killing, so she has lost the redeeming quality that could disqualify her.

Henious Standart

Ploi is the real antagonist of the film (the only thing his sister's ghost does is torment her) and he killed his sister, mother, the family dog, an innocent maid and even tortured Fin, even taking advantage of his fragility  of health to inflict more suffering on him, and he certainly intended to kill him.  All this because she was jealous and envious of her sister.

Veredict

Tentative yes for her.
