~ Honestly, this shows how much of a horrific sadist this guy is. |
So now, people, welcome to my 4th proposal, and this is a character from an obscure cartoon that's kinda reminiscent of Gravity Falls and Courage the Cowardly Dog, so let's go onto the candidate, shall we? Also Happy Halloween dudes, as the guy's series is just as paranormal as those shows.
What's the Work?[]
Moville Mysteries is a supernatural horror black comedy cartoon series created by Guy Vasilovich which has the main character, Mo (Who is played by Frankie Muniz), and his friends Mimi and Hitch live in the town of Ouigee Falls where supernatural stuff happens in that town, IMO could've inspired Gravity Falls' premise, and the candidate is a human scientist who is that bad compared with the entities in the show.
Who is Professor Kindly and what has he done?[]
Professor Kindly (Yeah his last name is "Kindly", but he is anything but kind) is the main antagonist of the episode "The Day Rico Became Smart".
Well the guy appears in the climax, where he meets Rico in his house, and if he is the one who has done a good thesis on cold fusion and Rico says he genius whom he speaks, and Kindly says if he is sure and he was expecting someone apparently more skinnier? And he has to be certain he is a genius and shows him blobs of ink on papers and Rico just says they're just blobs of ink, and Kindly says he is a true genius. He than tells Rico what he is. Than Rico's parents come and confront Kindly.... Until Rico than saves Kindly and tells them it's an opportunity and he wants to use his intellect for humanity, than Kindly than shows them his car which runs on tap water.
Then the two go to the university and Mo says hasn't it been abandoned for the last 50 years. Rico notices the lack of students in the university, Kindly says their on a summer break. The two then go to Kindly's room, when they enter, Kindly says Rico will finally joins with the Finest Minds in science, he then puts him a chair. Rico then tells where are the finest minds Kindly spoke about, then Kindly points to them being on the mantle, showing their brains, showing his true colors, Oh and Rico (poor dude) then freaks out and tries to get out, but unfortunately gets strapped in the chair he was sitting on, then Kindly maniacally laughs like the Joker and then tells him of a doctor named Dr. Zitmeyer, showing Zitmeyer's brain, as he was searching for a cure of acne until his research came to a sudden stop, essentially meaning Kindly then murdered him and picked his brain, telling Rico he picked his brain, then Rico freaks out and says if he was talking metaphorically.
Then Kindly says he was not talking metaphorically about that, and then shows him his brain harvester (Which has some blood stains...), and says his harvester is patent pending, and tells him the Finest Minds (whom he refers to as gentleman, Kindly is anything but a gentleman), were once rivals of his, until he then later took out their brains and stole their ideas. And says Rico's cold fusion process will make him rich, than he laughs maniacally again like the Joker, then Rico he was wanting to share his discovery with the world, and no intention of profit, then Kindly he's not that smart after all. Than Rico says he thought the world of academia would be more kinder to him than sports but no different than his former life, but there he actually had friends, and something of a brain, then Kindly says to him and using his brain harvester that it won't hurt a bit, BUT A LOT!!!!!!
Mo then comes in Kindly's room with Kindly's Professor of the Month award, and then Mo decides to distract him, by telling Kindly that he must need goggles so the skull fragments wouldn't go in his face. Kindly does decide to get goggles, Oh and Rico tells Mo to bonk him in the head with the award Kindly has, and it works, turning Rico back to his dumb self again, then Kindly he still has Rico's cold fusion process, and then steals that idea of Rico's, then he carries some papers of and laughs maniacally again, then Mo and Rico leave, and it seems Kindly got away with his crimes, until Mo then says he made a call to some people who work for a oil company, those people enter his room, than use his brain harvester on him, then Kindly says "NO!" and it shows the people using the brain harvester on Kindly via a shadow until the screen fades to black. After that, who knows what happened to the guy, though he is likely dead to my knowledge, but he kinda has the same fate the Purple Guy and Dr. Breen have IMO.
Mitigating Factors?[]
Ok, no, the guy may have some comedy with him acting dorky with Mo that he needs goggles so the skull fragments wouldn't go in his face, and him saying his car runs on tap water, and him saying his harvester is patent pending, but..... This doesn't detract his villainy at all, since those are very minor moments and his crimes of taking out his victims brains is played for horror and not in anyway dark comedy, yeah, the guy may be kinda crazy but he has a clear moral agency as he has morals and is just a sadist when he did his killings and his excuse of cutting out his rival's brains is just petty, so no redeeming qualities or even comedy at all. Not to mention him being kind to Rico is clearly false as he just wanted his cold fusion process so he could become a rich guy.
Heinous Standard[]
Ok, so there are villains like Polipotanaketl, and Luthor Bosco as examples, Polipotanaketl, who is a demonic eldritch abomination who while wanting to unleash his evil on the world, it's kinda not enough to make him heinous enough since we do not know if he wants to end the world or not, oh yeah and is just a feral demon with no personality, and Luthor is a guy who's incredibly wealthy, and would later be in charge of an actual cult after getting a magical doorknob, not to mention is not heinous enough since he's just leading a cult just because of a doorknob that's magic, and being a generic con artist, not to mention, he doesn't want to resort to murder, showcasing Luthor's only redeeming trait, oh and the Devil actually appears in the show in "Sold Your Soul... For What?", and is very powerful given that he's Satan and all, and his worst crime is really just taking Matilda to Hell itself, yeah bad, but he doesn't do much bad acts besides that, and him confronting a guitarist in a flashback scene, all the while compared to the 3, Kindly is just a scientist with no supernatural powers, or even super high resources (Although he was seeking to be rich), and only has technological resources, but not that advanced, and is just a guy with standard technology compared with Luthor, who actually is wealthy, oh yeah, and Kindly has agency and personality unlike Polipotanaketl, and lacks any redeeming traits, as Luthor didn't want to murder, so I think this is enough for Kindly to pass the standard.
Verdict[]
Yup to this guy.
