Alright, I'm testing this format of proposal in the blogpost ever since the discussion format become unreliable to use. Without further ado, here's my first candidate:
What's The Work[]
Eden's Zero is a manga created from the same creator as Fairy Tail in 2018. The story? I'll copy it from the TV Tropes summary:
"Shiki, a boy with gravity powers from a bygone age, has spent most of his days Raised by Robots in an abandoned theme park on a forgotten island, dreaming of new places to explore and friends to make. His life takes a sharp turn when the park receives its first visitors in 100 years: a wannabe web celebrity named Rebecca and her familiar-looking (but totally different) blue cat, Happy. One devastating betrayal and newly forged friendship later, Rebecca helps Shiki ditch the island to show him the larger world by taking him with her and Happy on their boat—which suddenly rises from the water and blasts off into space!
So begins the tale of the boy whose name will one day echo throughout the universe. But it doesn't stop there, as Shiki quickly finds himself thrust into command of the Edens Zero, an interstellar warship left behind as inheritance from his adoptive robo-grandfather, the Demon King, who once used it in his search for Mother, the legendary Goddess of the Cosmos. What follows is a galactic adventure filled with cybernetic dragons, space pirates, existentialist androids, temporal anomalies, magical cyborg ninjas, and much more as Shiki vows to fulfill his late grandpa's dream of finding Mother—all while trying to make as many friends as he can along the way, whether they like it or not!"
And yeah, during their journey, they met with kinds of aliens or other kinds of people whether if they are a good guys or just criminals. One day, Rebecca got kidnapped by one of the aliens into a planet known as Guilst and the alien in question? Say hello to Illega everyone!
Who is He/What Has He Done[]
Okee dokee, so Illega here is actually a rather obese frog like alien who has a strange obsession on collecting women. However, Illega himself has a special kind of woman and they are none other than B-Cubers themselves. As a result, Illega paid several mercenaries to kidnap several B-Cubers across the world and it's estimated Illega ordered 30 women to kidnap 30 B-Cubers.
Unfortunately, the mercenaries themselves didn't get paid thanks to them bringing around 29 B-Cubers including Rebecca. And yeah, did I say Illega has a strange obsession of women? Basically, Illega has them stripped naked and turned into stone so that he could either keep them as his personal furniture or as statues for him to admire. At one point, Illega forces a woman to be on her knees and hands as she was turned into stone which made other women quivering in panic and as a result? Illega releases a bubbly substance that causes their clothes to melt off.
When Rebecca and other hostages tries to make an escape, unfortunately Illega found Rebecca and seemingly defeating her, quipping that he will try to make her as his personal toy. Fortunately however, Shiki defeated him and the two manages to run away. However, the two of them stumbled across Illega's room and discovered he collects around hundreds of women as a stone. While Rebecca is horrified, Illega shows up while holding a gun against the head of the child of Miss Copa. Illega promises to let Miss Copa go lest if Rebecca becoming a toy of him and kneel before him. Once she does so, he presses his foot against her head while promising to make her his toy forever.
However, a dangerous being known as Chronophage who are notorious for eating planets to the point that they can make said planet go back to their past time or in worst case, ceasing to exist and due to this news, Illega attempts to ran away to other planet while bringing Rebecca with him and as a result (His only concern is his precious statues that could be destroyed), Rebecca knocks his ass and while he doesn't die and it is unknown what happened to him, it was revealed that he ceased to exist thanks to Chronopages. Ending the mad collector's life once and for all. YAY!!!
Freudian Excuse/Mitigating Factors[]
Pfft...
Heinous Standard[]
There are several nasty customer in Eden's Zero. Spoiler alert: In future chapter, there's Jamiroff who brutally kills several people in the Digital World and then there's Drakken Joe who is probably shaped into becoming the Big Bad of Edens Zero as he is the guy who is responsible to make Guilst from a planet that once visited by tourist into a crime infested hellhole and responsible for giving Jamiroff a great status in the Digital World as far as I recall.
But Illega? He carves a nasty niche for himself. Kidnapping hundred women is one thing but forcing themselves to turn into stones for his own personal toy or furniture just clenches it for me.
Final Verdict[]
An easy freaking keep. Here's how he looks like if you're wondering:
