Hey! Whaddaya look? I'm back with another PE proposal...Except this proposal would be another removal proposal by me. And the worrying thing is? It was from one of my candidates. I'm lucky that I didn't get myself involved with the drama that surrounding another site. But given what happened and I almost making a stupid decision on myself? I decided to own up to my mistakes and do a proper judgement on this. Even I was unsure back in the day on proposing this character. Regardless, I think this one can be discussed again but I'll do self-plagiarism on myself because why not.
What's The Work[]
Ah yes, Trevor Henderson. He is an artist from Canada who is notorious for creating several famous creatures for the Creepypasta community such as Siren Head, Cartoon Cat, Country Road Creature, Bridge Worms and Long Horse. If you have seen his works, then you probably knew it from Youtube Videos about "Unnerving pictures with happy music" or "Unnerving pictures with creepy music" and so on to the point it becomes a meme so yeah...
However, today I want to talk about one particular candidate that feels rather stand out to me especially on the Trevor Henderson story and who is this candidate in question? Well, it is revealed to be the entity called The Man With Upside Down Face of course!
Who is He/What Has He Done[]
Okay, so. In this story alone, our buddy, Trevor Henderson uploaded three old photographs into his social media account and you see... There's some establishing pattern of these three photographs: It has a mysterious entity with an upside down face. However, the first two is actually from a car accident. And yes, these three photos were set in Hungary, implying that this entity was also from Hungary.
However, things becomes a lot more unsettling as Trevor uploaded three more photos containing the entity. This resulted on people interpreting that he was actually a grim reaper. However, in truth? It was even more sinister as it was revealed that the man itself loves to cause several car accidents so that he could feed off negative emotions in the roadside while people were unable to see it. And as Trevor said, his face is actually like this because he loves to perverting the expectation of how human face looks like and he did this without any remorse. It is unknown what happened to the man but he's still at large and causing more incident.
Why Doesn't He Qualify[]
I love Trevor Henderson and some of his works. Heinousness and moral agency aren't an issue as I covered in my EP, he does have a lot of personality and the design really creeped me out from the start. The problem with TMWTUDF? Is the fact that Trevor's story lack any substance. Aside from the explanation by Trevor of TMWTUDF and why he exists? We... Don't get too much of a story beyond "Bad guy doing evil just because?" and as far as I wanted a keeper from Trevor Henderson mythos and I found this guy via Youtube by accident? I need to be fair on my assessment. Sure, Trevor's mythos are truly far from revolting and I think on its own, works. But again, the issue is, Trevor's story lacks any substance. If there is a game based on TMWTUDF or a story with substance plot regarding TMWTUDF itself? I'm all for it. But yeah...It feels kind of wrong to list a character from the story that lacks any substance.
Final Verdict[]
Tl;dr: Cut TMWTUDF because the story lacked any substance. Though to be fair, I hope there are some people who at least try to create a substance for the story because I think on it's own? Trevor Henderson clearly has some potential. Even I admit I was rather unsure on this candidate at first. Regardless, if you guys have some opposing view points? I'm all for it and I don't mind he's a keeper or not but yeah...Need to owe on my mistakes rn so I created this proposal.
