MM SS Grakakus 01

Everyone, say hello to our fellow predecessor of Bora Ra.

Well, i'm finally get to watch Mechamato Movie ever since it was released in theater on December 8, 2022. Thinking if Grakakus is an interesting PE candidate of Monsta other than BoBoiBoy PE villains, i've decided to give it a shot by proposing him.

You know the new rules and regulations regarding to PE proposals? Yeah, there was a max limit of proposals/removals in proposal box was 10 and one proposal only published on every seven days. To make changes, i will only publish PE proposals/removals every bi-weekly or probably unscheduled. I hope you understand.

What's the work?[]

Mechamato Movie is a 2022 Malaysian CGI-animated sci-fi action film produced by Monsta that served as the prequel of the 2021 TV show of the same name. It was first released in theaters on December 8, 2022. The movie follows the story of a young boy named Amato who met a destructive armored-type Power Sphere MechaBot for the first time and they formed their own superhero identities called Mechamato. However, they must faced a dangerous and ruthless Power Sphere hunter Grakakus who wants to hunt MechaBot for his nefarious purposes and to protect Hilir City from him and his army.

Who is he?[]

Grakakus is a main antagonist of Mechamato Movie. He is a dangerous and ruthless Power Sphere hunter who tried to hunt down MechaBot to use him for his nefarious purposes. He is also responsible for every events of the series since he caused the Space Prison to crash-landing on Earth and the bad robots are ended up wandering around the Hilir City. After finding out that Amato became MechaBot's new master, he wanted to kill him before he could capture MechaBot, making him his first arch-enemy.

What he has done?[]

Grakakus is a dangerous and ruthless Power Sphere hunter who hunts down armored-type Power Spheres and uses it for his nefarious purposes, implied of killing their previous owners before putting them into his collection. At some point, he fought MechaBot's old master Naut to capture him and brutally defeated him. However, Naut release MechaBot from himself and threw him away for safety before Grakakus brutally killed him in anger, causing MechaBot to be ended up in a Space Prison (implied to be for safekeeping).

After searching for MechaBot through years, he finally spotted a Space Prison and invade here just to capture MechaBot until the prison ended up landing onto Earth, which later ends up on Hilir City where Amato first met MechaBot while on his way home. The next day, he discovered that MechaBot has a new master named Amato after cruelly interrogating both Bago Go and Troket whom he captured, intended to kill the young boy just like he did with his previous master.

With Troket's help, he was able to found both Amato and MechaBot at the port, tried to attack them. After Amato and MechaBot fused together into Mechamato, they hid for a while and mechanized toilet papers into a bomb, blowing him up few times. He then pulls down a crane to crush them down, which they ended up at the bottom of the ship. When he's about to finish off Mechamato, he was immediately attacked by Maskmana (Tok Kasa) and they fought. Despite Grakakus is way powerful, Maskmana is able to gain the upper hand on him, allowed him to escape with Mechamato. Grakakus angrily swore to destroy him. Luckily, Amato is able to be recuperated at the underground but he was forced to be separated from MechaBot.

The next morning, he order his soldiers to hunt down Amato and terrorize the Hilir City, along with destroying a monorail track which almost killed many passengers inside. While the passengers are saved, Grakakus attempt to kill both Amato and Maskmana (Mayor Andy) but he's lured away to DeStar Corp building after believed he has MechaBot with him. After Andy and Mr. Aman exhange suits, Maskmana (Mr. Aman) steps out to fight Grakakus, but only for him to be ended up getting crippled on his back. He threatened Maskmana with many hostages he held on his spaceship, including children like Pian, Mara, Bula and Bili. Amato then arrived after fusing with MechaBot into Mechamato to confront Grakakus and fought with him.

Though Mechamato is able to defeat him, Grakakus then drops off the hostages from his spaceship in order to spite him. While the others are saved, Grakakus prevent Maskmana from saving Pian and Mara, but Pian ended up getting his arm grabbed by Maskmana while Mechamato is able to save Mara. He then snatched Mechamato and painfully separating MechaBot from Amato right before throwing away the boy off the platform of the building. Believing that he's finally victorious, he tried to force MechaBot to fuse with him, but nothing happens to him because Amato is still alive. MechaBot tried to save Amato, but Grakakus shoots them both down in anger.

Amato then managed to mechanized the helipad into Mega Mechamato, they managed to gain the upper hand on Grakakus. He became extremely furious and attempt to destroy them one last time, even when they fought at the sky. Mechamato then finally crushed Grakakus down with a Monkey Slap before they finished him with MechaKerisis, pummeling him down to the ground. Weakened, he then rise up from the ground and angrily claimed that he will not lose to Mechamato before ended up getting crushed by his own spaceship.

Heinous standards[]

Now we all know the Mechamato series only takes place before the events of BoBoiBoy series where Amato's son BoBoiBoy and his friends are going on adventures in later years. Compare with other three BoBoiBoy PE villains, we have Bora Ra (who captured many Power Spheres before brutally killing them and attempt to destroy the Floating Island which almost killing BoBoiBoy, his friends and even all of the Power Spheres), Retak’ka (who destroyed many planets by absorbing its elements while attempt to do the same to BoBoiBoy's home planet Earth just to upgrade his power into maximum) and finally Emperor Reramos (who enslaved many adults at Planet Windara and planning to commit mass brainwashing the entire residents).

Mechamato TV series has no villains who are heinous yet, only there are bad robots-of-the-week who appeared in every single episode. However the bad robots-of-the-week only committed generic crimes or doing it out of misguided ways. In contrast to the TV series, Mechamato Movie has a high heinous standards when it comes to Grakakus. Not only that, we have Troket (who tried to kill both Amato and MechaBot out of vengeance) and the droid soldiers (who only assisted Grakakus in his crimes).

Compared to other two, Grakakus is the only one who could stand out amongst them because his heinousness actually surpassed theirs. In the past, it was implied he has killed many past Power Sphere users (though the scene of him killing MechaBot's old master Naut was shown onscreen) and captured many armored-type Power Spheres to put them into his collection. While fighting with Naut at the space platform, we can see many explosions and fire through the entire platform because of this. Though it was implied there are many people inside the platform here, he doesn't care as long as he got what he wanted, including capturing MechaBot for his nefarious plans.

After finally found MechaBot at the Space Prison, he send out his soldiers to invade it and killed many prison guards there, with him angrily crushed one down who tried to shoot him. Their actions also caused the Space Prison to crash-landing onto Earth, possibly killing many prison guards with an exception of bad robots who survived including Troket. While interrogating Bago Go and Troket, he brutally strangled the alien into unconcious after having enough of wasting time with him and angrily threatened Troket into revealing the information about MechaBot and also his new master Amato, which he was on his way to kill both Mechamato (and also Maskmana) by the next night.

Now things are getting serious when the situation is getting worse. While searching for both Amato and MechaBot, he terrorized the Hilir City and destroying everything in his own path, including blowing up the monorail track that almost killed many passengers inside. While fighting both Amato and Maskmana, he was about to attack a little boy for calling him an evil alien until he was lured away by Maskmana to the DeStar Corp building. After brutally crippling Maskmana (Mr. Aman) in his back, the most serious part is that he threatened to drop the hostages he captured inside his spaceship including children as well, but he just did in order to spite Mechamato after they managed to defeat him and then prevent both Pian and Mara from being saved either. He then painfully separating MechaBot from Amato and then attempt to kill a boy by throwing off the platform of the building.

Mitigating factors[]

Grakakus is entirely a dangerous and vicious person who doesn't care about anyone but only himself and craving for power, even if it means capturing Power Spheres once he killed their previous masters (including MechaBot's old master Naut). He treated those Power Spheres if they were his own weapons instead of living beings, showing that he doesn't valued over their lives. Whenever it comes to his soldiers, he doesn't care about them and only using them if they were pawns to him. There is a one scene that he became angry that one of his soldiers is getting slain by Maskmana, he only does this because he lost one of them instead of being concerned about their well-being.

He was also a merciless person who doesn't tolerate others who doesn't give in to him, including angrily strangling Bago Go for wasting time with him and intimidates Troket into revealing the information about MechaBot and his new master Amato. Though he enlists Troket into helping him find both Amato and MechaBot, it's because he thought he could be useful to him and also has no problem leaving him to get shot by Maskmana while he went to deal with both Amato and MechaBot by himself. He also has quite no problem of killing children like Amato, Pian and Mara and didn't even care of it a little as long as he got what he wanted, this was especially shown when he became angry at a little boy for throwing a rock at him with petty reasons. To tell how cruel he is, he only wants to kill and hurts people just to get whatever he wants, including holding many hostages on his spaceship and threaten to drop them off in order to spite the heroes.

Now upon being defeated by Mechamato, he was a huge sore loser to the point of dropping off the hostages from his spaceship just to spite Mechamato and painfully separating MechaBot from Amato just to have him all by himself. Thus after being brutally pummeled down to the ground as he was finally defeated, he still won't give up right before his downfall.

So overall, i don't think Grakakus has redeeming factors just yet.

Final verdict[]

An easy yes to Grakakus for killing MechaBot's old master Naut and attempt to kill many hostages by dropping off from his spaceship. He may be vile as Bora Ra, but at least it's worth a shot.
