Now this monster reminds me of Muscular from MHA.

Well, i was about to make a proposal out of Skonk from 2003 TMNT series, but too bad The Pro-Wrestler were planned to propose it. TBH, i'll just propose Sadist Gougan from Timeranger.

What's the work?[]

Mirai Sentai Timeranger (未来戦隊タイムレンジャー Mirai Sentai Taimurenjā) is a Japanese tokusatsu television series produced by Toei Company. It serves as the 24th installment of Super Sentai franchise. The series was first aired on February 13, 200 and ended on February 4, 2001. The series follows the motif of time and time travel.

In the year of 3000, ten years have passed since the time machine was invented. However, the Time Defense Bureau (TDB) was formed to stop the time traveling from happening. On the other hand, the gang of criminals called the Londerz Family escaped from prison and tricked the four new enlisted cadets into traveling to 20th century, which they weren't allowed to return to 30th century unless the gang were captured. With the help of the man from the 20th century Tatsuya Asami, who would become TimeRed, the five of them became Timerangers to fought against the Londerz Family.

Who is he?[]

Sadist Gougan (愉快犯・ゴウガン Yukaihan Gōgan) is a minor antagonist in Mirai Sentai Timeranger, who first appeared as a main antagonist in the episode "Case File 11: Death Match City".

He is a god-themed Londerz Prisoner who was arrested for using the Dream Breaker machine to brainwashing people into killing each other for his own amusement during the night-time. After being released by Gien, he does the same thing in the 20th century before he was defeated by the Timerangers.

What he has done?[]

In the year of 2975, Sadist Gougan caused so many casualties in one town with no witnesses and went on three nights in a row, with 80% of the town's population ended up died as result. Because of this, he was ended up getting arrested for his crimes. Gougan was known as the Prisoner #8 and were identified to be a former scientist. His motive was to enjoy people's death and his methods were sinister.

After Gien released him from the confinement, he used the device called the Dream Breaker to brainwashed people into killing each other on night time. The next day, it was reported that the 32 victims were hospitalized and they are still in a state of shock. Discovering of what happened, the Timerangers decided to search for the device. However, the citizens, who were still brainwashed, hunting down the Timerangers, including one of them to Honami. When Gougan is still waiting for the night just to see everyone getting kill each other, the Timerangers found him and TimePink tried to shoot him down, but were interrupted by Honami, who was seen taking photos here. After Honami was spotted, Timerangers had no choice but to attack him, but they were trapped by Gougan's Crystal Cage before he ran away while bring the device to another location.

When it's night time, Gougan was about to witness everyone were about to kill each other, but TimeRed managed to intervened it and shoot the device at the right time, snapping the citizens from being brainwashed. Enraged that his plan was foiled, Gougan decide to destroy the Timerangers and summoned the Zenitts at them. However, he was defeated by TimeYellow by finishing him with Vector Dividing.

Refused to concede his defeat, Gougan then enlarged himself. The Timerangers summoned TimeRobo Beta to fought him, but Gougan managed to overpowered them and was about to crush them down before he was interrupted by Time Flyer through TimeRed. Finally, they formed TimeRobo Alpha to finish him with Press Blizzard and was recaptured as result.

Heinous standard[]

While the show may be lighthearted, it has some dark moments including bloodshed, violence, and murder in case. So let's compare with the main villains, while Dolnero and Gien can be sympathetic, and Ryuya wanted to ensure his survival through time manipulation, Gougan had committed mass murder to the citizens by brainwashing them into killing each other during the night time. Unlike the other Londerz Prisoners who were only doing it out of the Londerz Family's orders and their actions were just generic, Gougan is the only one who stands out as the worst amongst them.

Sadist Gougan used a device called "Dream Breaker", to brainwashed everybody into fighting each other during the night time, ensured that they're going to die for his own amusement. In the 30th century, he was imprisoned for committing mass murder through brainwashing. Later after being released by Gien in the 20th century, he does the same thing to everybody here, including Timerangers' ally Honami. As his plans were foiled, he has no qualms of trying to kill Timerangers for this. Due to his love of bloodshed and thrill, Gougan was cemented as the worst enemy that the Timerangers have ever faced despite only appearing in one episode.

Mitigating factors[]

None. He is a sadist and thrill-seeker who wanted to relishes his enjoyment of bloodshed by brainwashing the citizens into killing each other during the night time. After he was released by Gien, he was never shown thanking him for that, showing that his relationship with the Londerz Family was remained unknown. He has no qualm of trying to kill anyone who gets in his way, such as Timerangers and Honami.

Final verdict[]

Let's just say yes. Anyone else?
