Okay I've been skeptical of him counting for as long as I can remember, and I think it's high time for him to go now. Other users on Discord agree with me that his red lock was unwarranted from the very start, and while I know there were at least two other failed removals in the past, I'm willing to fight to my last dying breath just to convince y'all his red lock is invalid. What's the work?[]
Scream 3 is the third installment of the Scream franchise, an ongoing slasher film saga directed by the late Wes Craven to pick on the cliches of most horror movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th. Most people regard this as the worst entry in the series, and I agree because it's boring and full of plot errors. The rest is pretty much history.
Who's Milton and what does he do?[]
John Milton is the director of the Stab movie franchise, cheesily depicting in-universe events just for money. Some of the actresses like Angelina Tyler had to sleep with him just to get a role in a movie, and it's revealed that he gangraped Sidney Prescott's mother Maureen, causing her to conceive the equally psychopathic Roman Bridger. He's also easily the least sympathetic of Ghostface's victims, getting a throat slit from his very own rape child. With that said, however...
Why isn't he Pure Evil?[]
For the umpteenth time, he is bog standard. And no, it's not because of the whole "offscreen villainy" angle most others argue with because the effects of him gangraping Maureen Prescott are shown through Roman in the movie.
He raped one singular person, one singular time, and that's literally it. Horrible? Yes, and he deserved to die for it, but it's not enough to pass the baseline. Hell, he's not even the only villain in the series to commit rape; Roman orchestrated the rape (i.e. stabbing in the groin) and murder of his own birth mother, Billy had sex with Sidney without her knowing that he was her mother's killer, and Jill shoots her own ex-boyfriend in the crotch. I'd also like to mention that Ghostfaces all have less resources than Milton since they're just serial killers and not rich film producers. Also I'm sorry if this triggers you and makes me seem like a rape apologist, but all those other girls he had sex with from the casting couch are pretty much consensual. At least they're given more of an actual choice in the matter; either sleep with a producer, or go home and look for another job. It's not like their lives depend on it.
Furthermore, blaming Milton for Roman's long list of crimes as an adult just because he's his father is...well, kinda unfair. He might have played a small part in them, but in the end we're all responsible for our own choices in life. Roman was given foster parents to take care of him so he didn't grow up alone and then went down the road to psychopathy anyway; even Sidney agrees that he really has no one to blame but himself for how he turned out. And shit, if he's the reason for Roman becoming a monster, then we might as well repropose Sabretooth since he was rejected for a similar reason.
