Welp Welp, I know that Halloween has already end, but as I said, I still have some spooky candidates to go. And yep, we are back with more slenderverse candidates, this time, not being an entity, but a person...somewhat...you will understand soon,
What's The Work?[]
The Slenderverse, is somewhat of a big web series, made of multiples series, that are somewhat of done in the same setting, following the myths of the Slenderman, although he isn't always the main threat (or sometimes he nearly doesn't appears), but there are cults, other creatures, and followers of the Slenderman being the main villains, these series generally follow normal people, being tormented by very bad people or demonic entities, pretty interesting, but well, we are going to have to focus in a big series, while also mentioning others, although those are not that important to mention here.
So the main series of this candidate is Stan Frederick, a story about a guy named Stan, who is trying to make a movie, just to get apparitions of Slenderman, trying to protect a girl that was at his care from it....or well...at least that was what we though at the moment, but this was just a facade, there was no movie, this was not the first time that Stan have seen this entity, and his name is not Stan... After a while, the true plot is told to us, this is not as typical as the other series, Stan is actually member of a small group of survivors of the Slenderman, that work together to survive, but how? simple...sacrificing children to it. Later on, the series continues, as Stan got to redeem himself, and tries to help others against entities like Slenderman...but he also has to face his remorse and a former friend that he though was death. This former friend and former ally from his group, is the candidate of today, his name is Connor Dwight, but later on, he will be known as the entity, Lines.
Who is him? What Has He Done?[]
Connor Dwight, also known as WeMustCollect and later as Lines, is the main antagonist of the series, being the nemesis of Stan, and the one who gave him the idea of harvesting. Let's go in order, so let's see, when he was young, he started to be haunted by the Slenderman, which would cause the death of his mother, so his father, in fear of what could happen to them, would end up sending him and his sister to a foster care, where they will meet our protagonist, Evan, who will later be known as Stan, so they became friends, mostly because of their experiences of the slenderman, so they felt that they weren't alone at the end. All is pretty and all...until Connor got an idea to appease the Slenderman, this being...harvesting children, yep, getting kids to get killed and taken away to never be seen again by this entity. At the beggining, Evan was fully against this idea, even getting a plan to poison Connor and himself to not do it, but because Susan talked him away from commiting suicide, Evan would end up agreeing to the plan, starting with a boy named Stan, who was the brother of a woman that would end up being Stan's psychologist, oh and, yeah, Evan would end up taking his name after this murder, now becoming Stan Frederick.
So this is how it starts, they will make this little group, called WeMustCollect, that would start kidnapping children and harvesting them to the slenderman, being said that over a dozen children got killed by them. At one point, to make a facade, Evan would start a series of videos about a supposed movie that he was making, with some new friends he got, when in reality, he and Connor were planning to harvest some children, while also getting those two new friends of Stan killed, and although Stan felt a little bad by doing this, Connor didn't had any empathy for them. After the revelation about them, they will continue with these videos, as they continue harvesting, and they were trying to convince more survivors to join their group, like Puppet, who would end up getting killed by Connor, after he refused to join. Stan started feeling bad and less convinced about continuing, as Connor showed more about his psychopathy personality, not even getting to control himself against people that refused to join a group that kill children. At one point, Stan sends Connor to get another person to join, telling him to not kill him, but Connor would end up torturing and attempting to kill this person in a moment of rage. And even at one point, Connor went to see his parents...to kill them obviously, and he succeed...Although those deaths would end up being reversed by the entity known as Teacher later on. For all of this, Stan decides that he doesn't want to continue with all of this, thinking that there are better ways to survive and getting people to join, than killing children and threatening people, something that Connor only saw as a weakness. So... Connor would end up attacking Stan with a bat, and kidnapping Susan (his own sister, and the only person that Stan had), pretty much forcing him to harvest children again, if he doesn't want him to kill her.
As Stan tries to figure out what to do, Connor goes in his way to attack more survivors that didn't want to join, although thankfully, he didn't got to kill them. At the end of the season, Stan gets help from an entity, to teleport Connor there, which causes him to get killed by the Rake.
Now in the real main series, everything seemed fine, but...Connor somehow got back, now being an entity known as Lines. As Lines, he will killed multiple people that the Rake wanted, which will give him the ability to come back, as the Rake was grateful for his help, so with his new powers, Lines attacked Stan psychologically, causing him to be able to be affected by the Slenderman's attacks once again. After this events, Stan decides to use a room that pretty much is a room that travels back in time (to explain, if someone enters this room, this causes the person to look like they looked in a previous year, for example, when Stan entered it, he now had all of his fingers, when in the present he lacks one, and in how Lines now is human in this room, as at that age he wasn't an entity), which....doesn't end up going well, as Connor overpowers him, and kills his psychologist with a gun, and as he leaves, he talks about how he is going to kill anyone that he gets close to.
Later on, in the second season, Lines corrupts a guy that got to knew Stan, manipulating him to attack him and start working for him, forcing him to hurt people, which sadly, would end up with this guy commiting suicide because of Connor, as he was a target for Rake. Then, by corrupting Stan's phone, he makes him guess who will be the next one to die giving him alternatives of who might be, just to be a lie, as Connor ended up causing the death of a little girl instead, getting her killed by some Seed Eaters.
So at the end of all, Stan decides to give himself to the Slenderman, so he can get the chance to kill Connor, and stop him once and for all. So yeah, thanks to Slenderman, Connor gets to a human form, which gives Stan the opportunity to shoot him and kill him, which gets the Rake pretty angry, and causes Stan to get harvested by Slenderman, although one part of himself would remain, as a new entity.
At the end of the third season, Stan decides to travel back in time, and manipulates the events, so that Susan wouldn't end up in the foster care with Connor, causing that Evan would end up carrying up with his poisoning of Connor and himself, pretty much reverting all the crimes that they ended up causing.
Mitigating Factors[]
Welp, let's talk about this. Yeah, being haunted from a young age by the Slenderman, and living in fear is pretty much a bad fate to have, which could be seen as tragic...But we also have in mind that Connor decided to sacrifice children, all because he wanted to live, not trying any other type of solution, threatening and even killing people if they don't want to join him, and later on as Lines, he doesn't have that excuse anymore, just wanting vengeance against Stan, and hurting multiple people just because he is a psychopath, and taking in account the quantity of people that passed similar experiences and even worst in that universe, Connor excuse doesn't feel as enough, and more when it isn't valid when he became the entity Lines, who is not being looked by the Slenderman anymore, at the same time, he is not really seen in a sympathetic light either, with Stan seeing him as fully evil, and this guy have seen people that also get manipulated by entities into killing people, and he tries to help them, but with Connor...is too much for him.
Besides that...I don't see anything else, his care for his sister seems to be inexistent, any type of friendship that he had with Evan is gone, and probably didn't even exist. He doesn't feel any empathy for the deaths of other people, and of course, he only cares for himself after all, I don't think there's anything else to be said here.
Heinous Standard[]
Well...I feel he is good here honestly, getting over a dozen of children killed by the slenderman, torturing a guy, killing people who refuse to join him, even trying to convince people to join is very bad, taking in account what they do in that group, if only two got to harvest over a dozen, imagine more, kidnapping and attempting to kill his sister just to force Stan into harvesting children. Killing people for the rake, including corrupting a guy until causing him to commit suicide, getting a girl to get killed and transformed into a Seed Eater entity, killing Stan's psychologist and friend, and pretty much causing Stan to sacrifice his own life to Slenderman to stop him, which also would end up with Susan killing herself. So yeah, even for the heinous standard, I don't think there's that many villains wanting to commit that many kills against children, while also trying to get people to join him into killing more, and well...being harvested by the Slenderman is not really a good way to die either. With that in mind, and being the most personal villain of Stan, while also having a decent rapsheet, I feel that he stands out enough from other human villains like Mary Asher, who killed members of her family, was very abusive to her son and killed a dozen of people.
And although pretty much all killings that he did were reversed, this doesn't get them to not have weight, as these affected the protagonist, and for those to get reverted, Stan ended up having to sacrifice his own life two times, causing stuff to go in a completely different direction, and even then, the attempt that Connor had was still there, and either way, it was just thanks to time travelling stuff that those deaths were reverted, by killing him before, so yeah, I still feel he would be heinous enough.
Final Verdict[]
Average yes for Connor, for getting over a dozen children harvested, going against anyone that even interacted with Stan just to make him suffer, killing multiple people for the Rake, causing someone to kill themselves, torturing someone, attempting to kill people who refuse to join his group that harvest children for the Slenderman and killing his own parents. Being just a psychopath that only cares for himself, not feeling any empathy for the others, just seeking for his own survival, seeing the others as weak for not doing the same.
