Well, today's the day that I make this post:
Love Robin should be demoted as a bureaucrat from Villains Wiki:
On February 20th, 2025, Love Robin unblocked X9 the Android, a user who has been exposed as messaging a minor in this community, sending her inappropriate messages about wearing lingerie, asking her what she looks like to visualize her appearance, and telling her she thinks she would look sexy in a black skirt - despite already knowing the user was 15 at the time while X9 was 23. X9 has been ousted from the community ever since. X9 would also give a far-fetched story about being blackmailed by a known troll into sending those messages which even if they were true, would not excuse her actions in the slightest since it would show that X9 was willing to groom a minor to save her own skin and her persistent remarks on how she was blackmailed shows she refuses to hold herself accountable for her actions and just wants to avoid the consequences.
Despite this, Love Robin decided to unblock X9 - with the other staff of the wiki confirming that Love Robin never discussed this course of action with them. The only instance of Robin deciding to inform any staff is when she messaged AustinDR about it, and it was basically telling him that she is going to unblock her rather than actually discussing what to do. Not helped that Robin is barely active on the wikis too. Even if you wanted to argue that it was entirely reasonable for Robin to think that X9 was innocent, that doesn’t change the fact that unblocking an accused child predator without proper consultation from the wiki staff is a borderline disgusting move, and it should Robin is willing to make controversial decisions regardless if the rest of the wiki staff is aware of what she is doing or not. Robin even said to X9 that she has a “clean slate” for her actions despite the fact that sending inappropriate messages to minors is not something that can be given such.
Within Austin’s message, Robin has accused the personalities of X9’s accusers of being filled with “hatred” and that she never wishes to be acquainted with them. Now while it is true there have been users who harassed X9, this is not the majority of the people who want her gone from the community and most of her accusers are acting in good-faith by not wanting a potential threat to the minors in our community especially since several of the people who want X9 banned are friends of the victim who care for her and other’s safety. To accuse her accusers of operating in bad-faith and hatred while acting like everyone is like the people who harassed her is disingenuous, and is treating all of her accusers as bad people rather than at least acknowledge the fact that most of them want to keep the community safe.
Following the outcome of the discussion post that called attention to Robin unblocking X9, Robin has made several horrific and insensitive remarks regarding X9’s messages to her victim. Robin has accused X9’s accusers of “not knowing what grooming is” and acted because she was groomed in her younger years and is a therapist who has spotting signs of groomers before, she can determine who is and is not a groomer, saying they are using buzzwords, and remarking “it’s like thinking you know what it’s like to be in the ocean when you only have taken a shower”. To make something clear, it is horrible that Robin was groomed when she was young, but that does not justify this statement at all. Being groomed does not mean you can just judge whether or not someone is a victim of grooming, the victim has shown genuine trauma over X9’s messages, and Robin’s comments have shown she has no concern for the victim’s well-being, and she and her friends had very reasonable that X9 was trying to groom her. Even if you wanted to argue that it WAS reasonable for Robin to think X9 was trying to groom anyone, that doesn’t change the fact that her messages are utterly flippant and dismissive of the trauma the victim went through.
And lastly, Love Robin has implied within her wiki message wall (emphasizing this to make it clear i’m not relying on off-site activity) that she shouldn’t show shame for writing an erotic fan-fiction regarding a minor character engaging in bestiality, which ultimately says a lot regarding her character and puts her behaviour with X9 in a different light.
Love Robin has made it clear she is a threat to the safety of our community by letting back on a child groomer towards this wiki without input from the staff, this is highly reprehensible and ultimately, I fully believe Love Robin should be demoted.
