No, not the original. This is a proposal for The Rake (2018), the main antagonist of the 2018 horror film The Rake.
What's the work?[]
As I just said, The Rake is a 2018 film about two siblings named Ben and Ashley who watched their parents get murdered by a man who was possessed by The Rake.
Who is the candidate?[]
Not really much to say here, The Rake is a parasitic monster that kills people (more on that later).
What have they done?[]
So as previously mentioned, the film starts out with The Rake possessing a man named Jacob Murphy and forcing him to tear his own eyes out and stab Ashley and Ben's parents to death before cutting his own throat. It's also mentioned he killed other people while possessed as well.
Twenty years later, Ashley returns to their old home, with Ashley now believing that due to Murphy's lack of eyes and warning that "It will infect us all" just before his suicide, he may have been possessed by something. However, that something, The Rake, is still there, and psychologically tortures Ashley by sending her nightmares, forcing her to stay with her cousin Nicole.
However, The Rake continues to torment Ashley, to the point that Ben has to come and try to help her calm down. Nicole's husband Andrew though is convinced that Ashley is crazy, causing her to run away. The Rake then appears in the house and starts off a killing spree with a couple of Andrew's friends, mutilating and killing an unnamed man before murdering Andrew's friend Graham off-screen. It then moves on to Andrew and kills him by stabbing him in the chest. Nicole's unnamed friend is attacked by The Rake and dies horrifically, being stabbed and then having her face ripped off.
After this, Ben confronts The Rake, but only ends up killing Ashley by mistake. The Rake then possesses Ben, forcing him to stab his own eyes out and commit suicide. It then manifests out of Ben's body and kills Nicole.

Some of you probably wonder if The Rake has a moral agency or if it is a mindless feral. While in the Creepypasta this could potentially be true, in the film it is a sadistic, bloodthirsty, remorseless and cunning serial killer, relishing in the screams of its victims. So yeah, agency.
Heinous standard[]
The heinous standard we need to scrutinise here is the general one. While The Rake's crimes are horrific, some might argue they were generic for horror. However, the Rake possesses people and forces them to blind themselves and has the especially brutal murders of Nicole and Andrew's friends as opposed to the usual knife stabs and strangling of the genre, so I'd say he crosses it.
