What is the work?[]
League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena Video game taking place in the world known as Runeterra, starring multiple Champions around the globe who each have their own stories and regions to tell. Who is Fiddlesticks and what has he done?[]
Fiddlesticks is one of the 10 primordial demons known as the Ten Kings. Little is known about Fiddlesticks otherwise beyond it having stalked every area of Runeterra, preying on humans since ancient times to the point many different stories exist across Runeterera of it. Fiddlesticks would torment it's prey by reciting the last words of it's previous victims while twisting there meaning to cause max suffering while using it's victims worse fears to torture them before killing the victim. Seemingly dormant for centuries Fiddlesticks would reawaken in Demica to stalk the countryside, slaughtering more people. In one instant of it's crimes it stalked an entire town for days, slowly causing fear and paranoia throughout the town until at the height of their fear, boarding up all their houses Fiddlesticks would slaughter every man, woman, and child in the town, making sure to torment them with their worst fear before making the kills. Leaving only one survivor from the town who at the end of the tale is implied to still be stalked by Fiddlesticks and presumably killed.
Mitigating factors?[]
First things first, being a Demon of fear does not mean Fiddlesticks has Moral Agency issues. We are shown with Demons like Tahm Kench and Evelynn that Demons can practice restraint for their goals and are fully aware of the suffering they cause to others. Nothing shows us that Fiddlesticks in a slave to his instincts or something.
Second of all his characterization and sentience. While it's true one tale of Fiddlesticks claims he has no thoughts or awareness of the world around him I feel it's worth noting that all the tales told about Fiddlesticks throughout Runeterra's history are not 100 percent accurate, and this can be disproven with how Fiddlesticks acts. He is shown to be strategic as shown when he terrorizes the town, for weeks, building up as much fear as possible, and preventing people from leaving the town. He after killing a man knows to respond in his voice when someone call out to him which should show some clear awareness of his surroundings. He even knows the names of the other demons he runs into which further backs this up. He also uses the voices he mimics to sadistically taunt his victims making sure to emphasize certain parts as I showed in the quote above. His in game dialogue also gives him a laugh, a taunt, "Afraid?", and gives him more taunts to mock his victims as he kills them such as when Riven dies he says "What once was broke can be reforged" or taunting Sarah Fortune with her parents last words. He shows enough intelligence and sadism to count in my eyes.
Heinous standard?[]
Passes with ease, he has been terrorizing Runeterra since the very beginning making his total kil count absurd and even among other demons his niche is one of a kind. He makes sure his victims feel the max amount of fear before dying whether that be through throwing their own fear back at them, using old victims last words to scare them, or purposefully leaving them as their last kill to really enjoy the fear. Fiddlesticks is a sadistic mind breaker who will even go after children, he easily is one of the worst evil in all of League of Legends.
